*Dai's POV*
"You're joking right?" I chuckled.
A part of me believed it was true, but the other part screamed it wasn't possible.
"I'm not. Want proof?" He shrugged.
"Uhh yeah, sure." I stared at him hard. Any sign of nervousment or eye-avoiding movements would give him away. I mostly always knew when someone was lying.
"Ok. Answer this in your mind: Favorite book." He looked me directly in the eyes. Guess he wasn't playing after all.. So I started to think of my favorite book, when..
"Gone series, by Michael Grant." He snapped. "Am I correct?"
"Woah, yes, very correct."
"Ok, favorite band?"
I stopped and thought about every band I loved. But it could only narrow down to two options.. And Zayn got them right.
"You can't decide between Sleeping with Sirens and Of Mice & Men" He smiled. I could tell he was enjoying this.
"Does anyone else know about this?" The question suddenly popped out of my mouth, and I watched as Zayn's smile slowly faded away.
"No, you're actually the first person I tell.." He smiled again, but sadly this time. "I wouldn't want people to think I'm some kind of.. Freak."
"Well, you got a point there.. I'm not calling you a freak, but most people don't wait to hear the whole explenation. They mostly just jump to ridiculous conclusions.. Which is one of the reasons I hate people.." And it was true, I hated people like that.. Always jumping to conclusions when they didn't even know the whole story. "So, mind-reading is the only.. Gift, you have?" I asked curiously. I had gotten over the initial shock of finally knowing my suspicions where true, and now I was just plain curious.
"I actually can" He chuckled "But it's slightly different.."
"What can you do? Can you show me?" I asked, excited. These kind of things fascinated me. And you obviously didn't see it every day.
"I could.. But I would probably burn your whole room.. Let's go out to the balcony.." He said, grabing my arm and pulling me with him towards the small balcony in my room.
"When did you find out you could do these things?"
"About when I was 18.. I found out first about the mind-reading, thought, who knows why.." He opened the balcony's door and let me out first. "But it took me a while longer to accept it"
"Woah. That's so cool, I wish I had powers" I pout and he chuckles at my childness.
"Ok, stand back a little, this is a trick I've been practicing for a while, but just in case.." He said.
I looked around me to find a place where I could scoot farther from him.. But the balcony was small, and there wasn't enough room, so I just shut my mouth and took a tiny step backwards. I was so anxious to see. Normally this only happened in my dreams!
"Ok, here goes.." He took a small breath and extended his palm upwards. He did a small circling motion with his wrist and a tiny flame suddenly appeared in the center of his palm. It was breathtaking. It looked as if it was dancing, just for me..
Zayn suddenly chuckled. Crap. I forgot he could read minds.. I'd have to be carefull around him, then..
"Just as long as you don't have any sex related thoughts.. You'll be clear by me" He winked and I flushed scarlett."Now look."
His brows suddenly went down to a frown, and his mouth went on a thin line. You could see his concentracion from a mile away, he was trying too hard. And then..
