The CEO and his Doctor

Chapter 4: And so it begins...

"Good morning Doctor,"

"Good morning...."

Beam greeted every one in sight as per his usual routine. Just as he was about to enter his consultation room, his senior doctor came towards him with a huge smile on his face.

"So how are you this morning Beam?"

"I'm fine Doctor thank you, what got you in such a good mood today?"

"Because I know what I'm about to tell you will make your day." He rubbed his hands gleefully and smirked, "your man is now awake."

Beam turned tomato red at the knowing smirk on the doctor's face. He took a step back and stammered, "he...he's not....my...my..."

Senior Doctor wave his hand dismissing him, "it's ok, I was teasing you a little. I know you consider him very special so I made a joke. Anyway, are you aware of his state?"

Beam shook his head, tight-lipped, how could he tell him that he ran away when his patient awoke from his coma of two weeks, the least he could do was to notify another doctor but his mind had stopped working at that time. It was a disgrace of every doctor and he was going to take this dirty secret to the grave without ever letting anyone know.

"Ohhh.." his Senior looked a bit surprised, "I thought you would be the first to know about his condition. Anyway, let me tell you. He woke up yesterday morning and this morning he seemed a lot better. He's rapidly recovering and according to my estimates he might be able to go home soon!"

Beam blinked, that was fast! But at least he was glad that Forth was recovering quite well. He nodded satisfied and asked, "do you think he might suffer from any effect afterwards? What about his concussion?"

"He is disoriented, that's expected of course but as for any permanent side- effect, I don't think so. He might suffer from the odd pain now and then, but for long term he will be fine. For now he has to recover from his broken bones but most importantly from his head injury. He did receive a shock but he will gradually return to normal."

Beam sighed in relief, he was glad to know that Forth would be fine, else it would have broken his heart to know that a man as virile as him would be incapable of certain things in the future. Not to mention, Forth himself would have been depressed and unacceptable of his state. Knowing Forth, he would have persisted in one way or another and might end up hurting himself more.

"Thank you Doctor, I will go see him now."

His Senior nodded and put a hand on his shoulder affectionately, "you're a good person Beam, I wish you the best of luck with him. Go and steal his heart away, he won't know what hit him."

Beam was left dumbfounded as he watched the doctor walked away. How come he was aware of his feelings for Forth? Shaking his head, he started towards Forth's room telling himself not to be a coward. Approaching the room slowly he recounted on how Forth was watching him last night, as if he was completely conscious and aware. He skidded to a stop as he suddenly remembered his Senior's words, that Forth woke up yesterday morning. Thus, that means he was already awake for a full day!

Beam deviated and started going in the other direction, no way he has the courage to face him now. Forth could have understand everything or he might have been really disoriented, either way he wasn't taking any chances. Just as he was about to go down the stairs he heard someone running towards him and suddenly he was tackled from behind and being back- hugged tightly.

He gasped in surprise and was about to remove the unwanted hands from him but he paused when the person started speaking, "p'Beam..."

He blinked and tried to look behind him, "Wayo? What are you doing? What happened?"
