"I can't understand why you're refusing to come home! Aren't you sick of this hospital already?"
Mr Kongthanin harsh voice resonated in the lone room and Forth grimaced as he leaned back.
"I already told you, my doctor recommended me to stay for a few more days."
"Stop lying Forth, don't forget with whom you are talking right now. Look at you, you're not even putting enough effort to make a more plausible excuse."
His father glowered down on him and demanded aggressively, "just give me a reasonable reason of why you're so adamant on staying here. I asked around the other time and they told me you fell down the stairs. All my life I have never known you to be clumsy, even when you were learning to walk you didn't fell down one single time! And now you telling that the doctor told you to stay when I just consulted with him and you're clear to go. What's happening to you? Your mother is sick with worry over you and the company needs you."
Forth expression faltered a little bit at the mention of the company but he put on back the cold mask in a blink before his father could notice. He straighten up and looked at him in the eyes,
"Are you ready to hear the truth?"
"Don't play games with me son."
"I'm not dad, I've never been so serious before and you know how I get when something is stuck in my mind."
A tense silence descended upon the room, they stared at each other coldly, both unmoving. His father's face harden and a beat could be seen beating on his cheek. After a while he exhaled and give up, "very well, do whatever you want but don't forget that this bloody hospital isn't your actual home!"
He stood up rigidly and looked down on him, "your mother is waiting at home, don't make her wait for long."
He strode away still tensed but Forth stopped him when he reached the door.
"You have to get ready someday to hear the truth."
Mr Kongthanin took a deep breath and replied icily, "I hope you won't disappoint me like your little brother."
He left taking the tensed air along with him. As soon as he disappeared Forth jumped down from bed and slipped on his slippers hastily. He ignored the pain from his protesting ribs and marched forward purposely. Just as he was about to reach Beam's room his father's stern voice came up from behind, startling him.
"Where are you going like that?"
He jumped and turned around to glare at him. His father just scolded him as if he was still a high schooler escaping at night. Showing his displeasure at the feel of making him feel like a rebellious child, he growled and replied through his teeth, "I'm going to see my doctor."
Mr Kongthanin smirked,"see your doctor in a patient's room? Are you so impatient that you couldn't wait until he comes out from consulting whomever is inside?"
Forth groaned, he was tired, in pain and itching to see Beam badly. He was already going through withdrawal symptoms from not seeing him for two hours straight and here he was arguing with his father like an enraged teenager, his father wasn't the better either. He was talking to him like he was still a young, immature boy instead of the big man he was.
"My doctor is the patient." Saying this he proceeded to open the door and got inside, ignoring his father's surprised expression. His face soften as soon as he set eyes on his baby. He looked so peaceful sleeping. His long hair was disheveled and fell messily on his forehead. His rosy cheeks and long eyelashes made him look almost feminine. He felt an irresistible urge to lean down and to kiss him on his cheek, however his father entered before he could do so.
