I was so shocked that I pushed him away from my body I was lucky I didn't fall to the pavement. He was passed out. I helped him up and laid him on their couch. I didn't want to leave him unattended so I just knocked on one of the doors and his mom opened it.
"Sylvia? What are you doing here?" she said quietly.
"Kyle's drunk. I just took him home."
"I'm so sorry. I can't imagined how much burden he must've been."
"My shoulders hurt a little but don't worry I'll just sleep it off."
"Great. Thanks doll for bringing this snoring pig home." she said with a smile.
"No problem, Mrs. Vighoreli."
"Bye."
I walked out the door and ran to our house. It was almost 12 o'clock. My mom's gonna be pissed. I slowly opened the door and I saw a open lamp in the living room. I felt every hair in my body raise and I prayed for my life.
"Sylvia Ann Fenderson. What time is it?" An angry mom greeted me with crossed arms.
" 11:47."
"It will only take you 5 minutes to walk not half an hour. What happened?"
"Kyle was drunk so I just helped him go home."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"I'll call Ariana and confirm this. But as long as I don't give me your phone."
I surrendered to her and I was crying inside.
"And if you were lying, No PC and No Phone for a week."
"Okay."
"Come on, let's sleep."
I went upstairs and change into my PJs. I lay in bed awake and bored. I got my book and read and read and read and read and eventually I slept.
I was awaken by the sun shining through my window. Typical Sunday. I looked at the clock and it was 10 am. I still get to sleep in but my mom barged in.
"Hey, you're awake."
I sat on my bed and nodded.
"I called Ariana and she told me you did help Kyle home."
I smiled "Can I have my phone back?"
"Okay."
She gave the phone and I was so overjoyed. I went downstairs and French toast was waiting for me along with my capuccino.
I thanked mom for the breakfast and phone. I went back to my room and play some music on my record player and cleaned my room up. I did my laundry and vacuumed my room then Sofia called.
"Sylvie!"
"What?"
"I'm so sorry I didn't called. I was at home."
"It's okay. I didn't stay long at the party."
"Yeah? Great. So about you and Kyle?"
"What about me and him?" Did she know about last night?
"Do you have any feelings for him?"
"No. Why?"
"Because he asked me out." she shouted with glee.
"Congratulations! You deserve each other."
"I know right!"
"So when's the date?"
"Next weekend. Will you help me get ready?"
"Yeah sure."
"Thanks! Bye love you."
I finished my chores and spent my afternoon at home. I was expecting a call from Ian but all I got was a message.
/I can't meet up. I'm with my family. Sorry./
I was disapponted. This was his first time to say no. But either way, I'll still go to town.
/It's okay. Next time./
I texted Sarah if wanted to go but she was also busy. Looks like I'll be with myself.
I just wore a tee and some shorts. I packed my books up and said goodbye to mom. I went to my favorite ice cream parlor by the boardwalk to study. It was a small shop filled with pastel colors as soon as I got there I left my bag in my favorite spot under a tree with shade facing the lake.
"Hi Tommy." I greeted the owner with a smile.
"It's my favorite customer! How are you?" The man who looks and speaks like Mario with the Italian accent.
"Fine. I'll have my favorite."
"Una copetta con Straciatella e Nutella per la signorina bella!" ( A cup of Straciatella and Nutella for the beautiful young lady.)
"Yes. Thanks." I smiled.
He handed me the ice cream and paid him. I left a tip and as I went outside. Families were starting to arrive and Tommy always made them smile.
I started to do my homework one by one and as I struggled with my Mathematics a person sat beside me.
"Hey." It was Kyle.
