Sofia was waving her hand at me and I ran towards her and I was facing the pavement.
"Oh my god!"
"Don't worry Sof. I'm fine."
"Watch where you're going!" A boy, who fell off his bike, yelled at me.
I stand up and walk towards him. "You bumped into me!"
He was going to say something and then Kyle intervened.
"Shane, dude. Chill. It's a girl!"
"So what if I am?" I crossed my arms.
"I don't wanna make this worse than it is. Sorry. Shane." He extended his hand, I extended mine and we shook hands.
"Sylvia."
"Sorry."
They walk away and Kyle smiles at me.
We walk to our lockers and I'm slightly dragging my foot in school. Great.
"Oh gosh, Sylvia. You're such a boy magnet."
"More like trouble magnet."
"Have you studied yesterday?"
"Yeah. And Ian asked me out. Kind of."
"Ohmygosh! I'm so happy for you." She hugged me and I felt giddy.
"Oh and Sof." I gestured her to move closer.
"You know Kyle, right? He kinda likes you."
"WHAT?!"
People started looking at our direction and I shushed her.
"You didn't hear from me, 'kay?"
"Yeah. But OH MY GOD." She started jumping up and down and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Help me on what to wear later, 'kay?"
