Warnings: Sympathetic Deceit, Angst

Pairing: Logan X Deceit

Prompt: Deceit walks in on Logan at possibly the worst time, seeing the logical side crying and choking as he desperately tried to do his work. Overworked. He has to pull Logan away from his work, calm him down, and force the other to get some well-needed sleep.

Deceit was never one for emotions, but as he stood at the doorway of Logan's room, frozen in place, he felt a ton of them all at once. The sight in front of him was a first, then again, who would've expected to see Logan in a state like this?
Before him was a library themed room, the walls acting as bookshelves for what seemed like thousands of different books. In the middle, the bookshelves parted to make way for a staircase, leading to a whole new floor of books. Instead of being drawn to the books, his eyes went straight to the middle of the room. There sat a table, cluttered with stacks of papers, more books, and other work equiptment. His eyes stared at something else, though. At the table, sat in a chair, was Logan. This would've been normal, if it weren't for the tears cascading down the Logical aspect's face, along with the choked sobs that accompanied them.
He was tempted to spin around and walk straight out the door, but he couldn't. He needed to help, somehow. He didn't know why, but he just had to. Before he could stop himself, Deceit walked up to Logan. The other was desperately trying to work through the tears, but was obviously failing, which seemed to only frustrate Logan more. Deceit tapped on the desk to make the other aware of him, and Logan looked up, panic immediately rising to the surface.

"Logan, Breathe. Set the pencil down, and close the notebook." Deceit instructed calmly.
"B-But--" Logan started, but Deceit quickly cut him off,
"No, you've worked yourself too hard, clearly."
With that, Logan hesitantly did what he was told, setting the pencil down and closing the notebook. As soon as this was done, Deceit grabbed the back of Logan's chair and pulled him away from his desk slowly. He then kneeled in front of Logan,
"Take a deep breath in."
After a few seconds, the logical trait took a shakey breath in.
"Deep breath out......"
Logan breathed out, being interrupted by a sob.
"Deep breath in......"

Deceit did this until Logan could breathe properly, then he stopped and stood. Without saying a word, he picked Logan up, carrying him over to his bed. The other gasped softly, but was too tired and messed up to care much.
He took Logan's tie off and set it to the side, then pushed the other backwards, into a laying position,
"Sleep."
In response, Logan groaned, trying to sit up again only to be pushed back down.
"Logan, you need sleep, you're exhausted and I can tell."
Tears still rolled down the other aspect's face. Upon realizing this, Deceit sighed,
"I know you don't want to, but you need to. You do a ton for Thomas and the others already. You can finish your work in the morning. For now, get some sleep."
Getting up, he leaned down and softly kissed the other. It was gentle and quick, lasting only a few seconds. He then turned to leave, but felt a hand grab his own, causing him to turn back around. He looked at Logan, confused.
"You c-can't just l-leave after a k-kiss....." Logan said softly, causing Deceit to feel even more confused,
"You want me to stay?" He asked, even more confused when Logan nods.
"Okay then....."
He didn't understand. Did Logan hate him? Did the kiss freak him out? Then why does he want him to stay? The others always wanted him to leave, why didn't Logan?
But, he did as he was asked, climbing onto the bed and laying next to Logan. The other moved closer to him, cuddling up to him in his sleep-deprived, overworked state. Deceit's face flushed, but he kept calm, not daring to move, fearing that if he did, he'd disturb Logan. The Logical aspect finally gave in to sleep, and Deceit had time to replay what just happened. He calmed down an upset Logan, kissed him, and ended up in bed with him.
He didn't have much time to think though, falling asleep quickly after realizing just how tired he was.

Logan and Deceit had a fun time explaining to Patton why the two were sleeping together. Patton had come to tell Logan that Breakfast was ready, but was met with an unexpected surprise. The three of them had a two hour discussion about it, which also lead to the kiss. The two denied that anything had happened at first, but they know they can't successfully lie around Patton. Patton shakes his head and slowly works a confession out of both of them, Deceit taking the longest because he's stubborn. Patton declares them boyfriends, and they both agree. After that, the others slowly became aware of the relationship, Virgil being the first one to figure it all out. He wasn't fully okay with it at first, but he eventually got used to it. Then came Roman, then Thomas. The two were happy for them, along with Patton, who could not stop cooing over them. Deceit being Deceit, he ignored him, just enjoying the time he got to spend with his now-boyfriend. He also made sure Logan took frequent breaks, no matter how much his boyfriend complained. He also made sure to manage the work that was put on Logan, doing some of it with him or doing it himself. It took a while for Logan to get used to taking breaks, and the first couple times Deceit did this, he broke down. Deceit helped him through them, convincing the other that it was okay to take breaks. He never failed to calm Logan down, which surprised him at first. Guess that was just how Deceit was- full of surprises.
