I Love You [Moceit]

Prompt: Patton says that he loves Deceit for the first time.

Warnings: I guess you could call some of it angst, but it's mostly a lot of fluff. It also includes a small kiss so....yeah. Enjoy!

Instead of working with the other sides in the control room, Deceit has his own panel in his room that he controls Thomas' lies with. It was his choice to do that, and the others offered him to join them, but he declined. He worked better alone, and he didn't like talking a lot.
He was watching the screen, sitting in a chair, when he heard the door open. He knew who it was. No one else had permission to enter his room without knocking.
"Hello Patton." He said automatically, smiling when he said his name.
Patton giggled and made his way over to the hybrid's chair, "Hey Dee! Just wanted to check in on you!"
"Ah yes, as if you hadn't checked on me thirty minutes ago." Deceit said with a smirk, laughing when he felt a playful punch hit his arm.
"Hey! I love you, you know!" Patton responded, confused when he saw the look on the snake's face. Deceit looked shocked, and his breathing cut off. "Dee....? Are you okay? Did I hurt you?"
He gasped when he saw tears in the other's eyes, kneeling down, "Oh god, baby I-" He was cut off by two arms wrapping around him, pulling him into a hug. Dee's face was hidden by his shoulder, but Patton could hear him choke and his breathing stutter.
"Shhhh....it's okay..." He assured the other, rubbing the other's back even though he had no idea what had upset Deceit.
"I-I'm....I-I'm s-sorry..." He heard the snake whisper softly.
Patt shook his head, "No need to apologize, hon....it's okay....can you tell me what's wrong...?"
Deceit hesitated before responding, "I-I've just.... never heard that before...."
Patton was confused, "What have you never heard before, Dee?"
"'I love you'......I never thought anyone would love me.....so...." Deceit trailed off, his voice breaking at the end. He bit his lip to distract himself from the memories of it all. Never thinking that anyone would ever care about him.
Suddenly, it all made sense to Patton, and he gasped and teared up, "Oh, baby....it's okay....you have me now. No one hates you anymore. You're here now....with me..."
"Thank you...." Deceit said softly.
"No problem, Dee.....
I'll always be here for you."
