In the movie, “Edward Scissorhands”, Edward’s creator dies of a heart attack and leaves him alone in the world.

Second quote: "How cruel to be exposed to everything that I can’t touch but still feel"
This line can be taken both literally and metaphorically. In the literal sense, Edward was created with scissors instead of normal hands. Because of this he has to be careful with touching things seeing as to how he can easily harm them. In the metaphorical sense, Edward begins to fall in love with Kim and love being an emotion can’t be physically touched, but can be felt. Its cruel to Edward to be exposed to love because Kim has a boyfriend and he has to be extremely careful with handling objects and people.

Third quote: "Cause when it snows It falls to you from me"
In the movie, “Edward Scissorhands”, on Christmas day Edward carves a snow angel resembling Kim. The unused ice shavings are thrown into the air and falls down as snow. As the ice shavings are dropping Kim dances in them. At the end of the movie the elderly woman reveals to be an older Kim telling the story saying how she believes Edward is still alive as she sees the snow falling as ice shavings from him creating more ice sculptures dedicated to her.
