Adelle's POV
We ended up going to Five Guys Burger and Fries for dinner. We walk in and were able to walk straight up to the counter to order. I order mine and step back for Niall to order his.
He says, "I would like the bacon cheeseburger with A1 steak sauce, mustard and ketchup with a side of chips."
The guy taking our order gave Niall a strage look.
I whisper into his ear, "They are called fries."
He immediately corrects himself, "Fries, I meant fries. I want the five guys style fries."
Once we pay for our order and get our drinks, we go and sit down across fromeach other at a booth.
"So," he says, "Is this place any good?"
"There isn't a Five Guys in the UK?"
He shakes his headand then I say, "Well then, you're in for a treat. This place has the second best burgers I have ever eaten.Their fries aren't that bad either."
We must have missed the call for our food, because a seemingly annoyed employee walks up with our food and slams it down on the table and walks away.
Niall picks up his burger and unwraps it. He then proceeds to take a bite.
Then, once he swallows it, he says," That is fantastic. I could eat three of these."
I laugh, knowing that he is not joking.
A half hour later, we were done eating. We drove until we hit the center of Atlanta.
I ask, "Where are we going?"
"Back to the hotel the guys and I am in. I have a surprise for you. "
I was a little hesitant, but went along with the plan.
Twenty minutes later, we pulled up to one of the nicest hotels in Atlanta. We pulled up to the valet and got out. We handed over the keys then went in. He grabbed my hand and held it to lead me to the elevator. A tingly feeling fills my body and heat rushes to my cheeks.
Niall's POV
We were in the elevator alone. While we were rising towards the top of the hotel, I glance over at Adelle. She is blushing... why does she do that whenever our hands touch?
When we arrive at the top floor, I lead her to room 2203. That was the room I had to myself that shared a main area with the rest of the boys. I open the door and lead her over to a sitting area on the balcony that overlooks the city skyline.
She sits down in a chair across from me and asks, "Why are we up here?"
"Oh, I just have a surprise for you."
She asks what it is.
"You know the song 'I Won't Give Up' by Jason Mraz?"
"Yes, it is one of my favorite love songs. My mom hates it, but to me, it represents what love should be."
I chuckle.
"Well, I learned to play it...just for you. I think it says how I really feel about you. Can I play it for you?"
She nods, speechless by what I had just said.
I go get my guitar and sit back down across from her.
I strt to play the opening chords and then I start to sing:
"When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find.
'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth.
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it.
No, I won't give up.
I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in.
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not
And who I am.
I won't give up on us.
Even if the skies get rough.
I'm giving you all my love.
I'm still looking up,
Still looking up.
I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up).
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved).
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved).
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it).
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough.
I'm giving you all my love.
I'm still looking up."
As I finish singing, I can tell that Adelle has started to cry.
"You didn't like it did you?" I ask.
She shakes her head and chokes out a response, "No that is not it. I am crying because I loved it. And ever since we met, and even before then, I have felt the same way."
As she finishes talking, she grasps both of my hands in hers and pulls me up as she stand up as well. Then, she leans in. This is the most nervous I had ever felt. She then touches her lips to mine. This is the most magical kiss of my entire life. While still holding hands, she leads me back into the room and we sit down on the bed. This is the most passion filled kiss I have ever had.
About ten minutes into the makeout session, I hear the door from the main room to my room open.
(To find out who is at the door, comment please!!!)
