*1/3/13, 2 pm (Ireland Time)*
Adelle's POV
Simon had cancelled the recording session that we had scheduled for today. Lucky for us, we already had a plan b. We were scheduled for an interview on the Chatty Man Show with Alan Carr.
We all left around eleven to get to the studio by one. On the ride over, Niall prepares me by telling me what to expect from Alan.
"Do not let his questions get to you. I must warn you that he probably has done a bit of digging into your past. But, if he asks you any questions that embarass or upset you in anyway, answer them with the grace and poise I know you posess."
I nod, letting him know that I understand.
We arrive at the studio around 12:45. We went straight into hair and makeup. I had brought a different outfit to change into as well since I wanted to ride here in something comfortable. The hair and makeup crew allow me to change before starting on me.
I go into the large bathroom and lock the door. I pulled off the clothes I was wearing. Then,I grab the bag I had brought in with me. I pull out the long sleeved, purple sweater dress and tank top. I put both of these on. Then, I slide my feet into a pair of sparkly silver ankle boots and place a silver belt around my waist. I walk out so the team can do my hair and makeup.
They let my hair and makeup remain simple. My long hair was in a Katniss braid and my makeup looked like it did on New Years.
Once they finished with me, I warmed up my voice just in case Alan wanted to hear me sing. As I was singing, I hear someone walk up behind me and start singing along.
Niall's POV
They had done our call to rehearse five minutes ago, where was Adelle? I decide to go look for her. I hear music coming from her dressing room. When I get close enough, I hear two voices singing. One was Adelle's and one was a guy's voice.
I walk into the dressing room and get a look at the guy. His face is looking in my direction but he does not take notice of me. I clear my throat to get their attention.
Adelle looks up at me and says, "Hi Ni!!"
I look at the guy then at Adelle before saying, "Who is he?"
Adelle responds immediately.
"Well Niall, this is Xavier Longo. He is my ex from high school."
I take a deep breath and am able to keep my cool.
"Ok. What exactly is he doing here?"
Xavier is the one to respond.
"Well, I am a Music and Journalism major and a Broadcast minor. I came to the UK for college and took an internship here. And I just happened to be walking by when I saw Adelle in here. I thought I would stop and sing with her just like we used to."
I nod. I have no choice other than believing that he is being honest.
I look back at Adelle.
"Princess, we have to go rehearse. They want us to perform. The guys and I wondered if you'd like to sing a song or two with us on the show."
Austin walks out, leaving me and Adelle alone after wishing us luck.
"Sure I would. What songs are you guys going to perform?"
"Well, we are performing Little Things and then Last First Kiss. How's that?"
"Great!!! Little Things is my absolute favorite. Do I just harmonize with you?"
