Adelle's POV
On the seventeenth, we all get up early to finish packing.
I was the first one done, so I went around to check on everyone else to see how they were progressing on their packing process. While doing so, I noticed Harry was trying to cram a rather large wrapped gift into his small carry-on bag.
"Harry, what are you doing?"
"Trying to pack the gift I got for Jayde. But it won't fit!!!"
As he says this, he puts a pouty look on his face. I swear, Hazza is such a kid.
"Harry, that's why we bought an extra large piece of luggage. You need to pack any gifts you are bringing in it."
His face lights up and he smiles.
"Oh. That makes sense. Thanks Adelle."
"No prob."
Harry was the only one to have problems while packing. Well, unless you count misplacing a couple things then finding them. I don't.
Around seven that morning, we have to check out of the hotel and leave for the airport. Due to low amounts of traffic, which is highly unusual for LA, we made it to LAX right at eight, exactly three hours before our flight. We check in at the Delta desk. We hand them the suitcases that will go in the luggage area of the plane. Then, they send us to the security check.
It only takes us half an hour to get through security. When we sit down, it was nine. I go and buy myself a magazine to read to help pass the time. I also bought myself a Dr.Pepper since I was thirsty. Then, I go sit back down between Niall and Liam. I open my magazine and start reading.
After about ten minutes, I looked up from my magazine. I glanced over at Liam and noticed the way he was behaving. He had been acting strangely since the day of the Jingle Jam. So, I decided to ask him what was going on.
"Hey, Liam," I say to catch his attention.
He turns to face me.
"Yeah?"
"I've noticed you've been acting a little weird lately. You have not been your typical goofy self. What is going on?"
He starts to tell me about Danielle breaking up with him. He also says that she has already moved on to another guy.
"Oh Liam, I'm sorry. I know you felt really strongly for her. But, look at it this way. It is her loss. You are an amazing guy, Liam. You WILL find someone else. Someone better than Danielle. I promise you that."
I hug him to make sure he knew I meant it. He says that he appreciates what I just said and that he will remember that.
About 10:15, they call for the loading for Flight 143 first class passengers. We all get up and get into the line. The management of the band had insisted on buying first class tickets for the boys and I.
We settle into our seats on the plane ten minutes later. I was next to Niall, Harry and Zayn were next to each other, and then Louis was with Liam. We all sat and talked until they announced it was time to take off.
Niall's POV
When the plane took off, I turned towards Adelle once the flight attendants finished their speech.
I say, "So, what's the best part of your family's Christmas?"
She immediately says, "You mean besides being with everyone?"
I nod.
"Well, honestly, it's the food. A majority of it is home made. I can't wait for you to try my mom's mac and cheese and red velvet cake. Oh, and you must try my grandma's deviled eggs."
My mouth starts to water. It all sounded so delicious.
A couple hours into the flight, Adelle starts to yawn. She lays her head on my shoulder. I kiss her on the forehead.
I say, "Go to sleep. By the time you wake up, we will be in Georgia."
She falls asleep immediately.
At 3:30, we touch down at the airport in Atlanta. I wake Adelle up and tell her we have arrived at our destination. All of us walk off the plane.
Once people started to notice us, the airport became more chaotic than when we had first started walking through it. To calm everything down, we had to sign autographs for nearly a hundred people. Then, we pushed ourselves through the remainder of the crowd to go to baggage claim.
After baggage claim, we went straight out of the airport. Management had already rented a SUV for us to go to Adelle's hometown in. Liam claims the driver's seat. Zayn sits in the passenger's seat, Adelle sits in between Louis and I in the middle row, and then Harry is in the back with all the luggage.
"Guys, why am I back here?" he asks.
"You were the last to get to the car, so you get the back," I say.
Harry crosses his arms and starts pouting.
"Oh, real attractive Hazza," Zayn says sarcastically.
After everything was sorted to our liking, we start heading to Adelle's hometown.
