Your eyelids flutter shut as your head leans on your hand heavily. Taehyung sighs deeply as he watches you falling asleep again before a wicked smile crosses his lips. He slowly picks up one of the heavier books he grabbed and slammed it down on the table, creating a huge crash.
"I'm up!" You hell as he sit up in your chair with wide eyes. You then frown as you look over at Taehyung and see him heaving with laughter, a huge boxy smile covering his features while his eyes were creased into small crescents. "What's so funny?" You pout as you cross your arms and try to hold back a smile. Taehyung really was so handsome as seeing him like this only added to that scale.
"You should have seen your face!" Taehyung laughs in between large breaths of air. You roll your eyes and look away from him in an attempt to stop yourself smiling. Taehyung continues to laugh as he tries to calm himself down while you look down at the book and frown deeply. The strange symbols were now coherent words that you could actually read.
"Taehyung. I can read this. Like, its actual words." You mumble as you flip through the pages quickly, each one now readable. Taehyung stops laughing and frowns slightly as he leans forward and looks down at the book.
"No, they're still symbols. There's not a single word on that page." Taehyung argues back as he points to one of the symbols. You shake your head and waft away his hand as you scan the page.
"No, that said 'protector'." You mumble as you pick up the book and scan the page, reading through the paragraphs before you.
"I know what it says. I can read the symbols." Taehyung rolls his eyes as he leans forward on his elbows and watches you as you read. You frown again and shake your head before turning the book around to face him.
"Look, they're clearly words. It says: 'Most demon hunters have a protector. Either an animal spirit or a soul mate.' It says it right there in words." You exclaim as you point to each word as you read it out.
"When is your eighteenth birthday?" Taehyung suddenly blurts out as he takes the book from you and closes it.
"Two days. Today I was saved by you from a demon and then kidnapped so yeah, two days." You reply slowly as you frown and scan Taehyung's face.
"So you're eighteen today. You were asleep for two days." Taehyung mumbles as he quickly stands up and grabs your hand. "We need to go see the others, right now." Taehyung quickly drags you out of the chair and rushes down the hall, still holding your hand.
"Two days? How did I sleep for two days? Why do we need to see the others? Are you even listening Taehyung?" You rant as you stumble behind Taehyung who didn't slow down once.
"Because your powers have woken up and if we don't get it under control now, everyone in here could be in trouble." Taehyung growls hurriedly as he turns the corner and jogs towards the meeting room you were in before. You quickly pull your hand out of his and stop in the hall with a deep frown.
"I'm not dangerous." You mumble as Taehyung stops and quickly turns to face you. He sighs and steps towards you, placing his large hands firmly on your shoulders.
"You are until you know how to control your powers. You don't understand yet, Y/N, but you will. I promise." Taehyung smiles slightly as he looks into your eyes. You shake your hand and try to shrug his hands off but fail.
"I want to go back to my room." You mumble as you look down at the floor. Taehyung shakes his head and sighs as he tightens his grip on you a little.
"We need to go see Namjoon." Taehyung mumbles as he looks down at you cautiously. You shake your head and try to get out of his hold once more and fail again.
"Get off!" You yell as you push Taehyung's chest hard and send him flying down the hall. Taehyung groans as his back hits the wall and he slides down it slowly. You look down at your shaking hands and then back up at Taehyung who was now unconscious.
"What happened?" Jungkook mumbles as he pokes his head out of the meeting room. He glances between you and Taehyung before quickly diving back into the room. You look around quickly before running away from the seven men to try find your room with no idea where it was.
I'm not dangerous.
You rush around the huge building, never once finding your room or a way out. It was like a maze and you were lost and stuck. You pant heavily as you come to a dead end and stop. Now you had no where to go. You slowly slide down the wall and sit in the corner with your knees up to your chest and your face buried in your hands.
Something suddenly touches your shoulder causing you to flinch and flail out your hand in an attempt to hit whatever it was. You slowly open your eyes to see Jimin crouched down next to you, holding your wrist. You quickly pull your wrist out of his grip and look behind him to see the other men, including Taehyung.
"Calm down. It's gonna be alright. You're safe here. We will look after you..." Jimin assures you with a light smile as he slowly slips his hand around the back of your head while he whispers to you. Your eyes start to slowly close as your mind grows dark and you loose consciousness.
"You are sure that you knocked her out and didn't kill her, right?" Jungkook mumbles as he watches Jimin gently pick you up bridal style. Jimin scoffs and raises an eyebrow at Jungkook who shrugs.
"She's still breathing so that means she's alive, Jungkook. Just like you." Hoseok chuckles softly as he shakes his head and begins to walk away, closely followed by everyone except Taehyung and Jimin.
"Do you want me to take her to her room and stay with her or are you okay to?" Jimin sighs softly as he looks down at you in his arms. Taehyung smiles softly as he brushes some hair from off your face.
"I'll take her. Yoongi hyung healed me before we found her so I'm alright now. She's really strong through, like that's an achievement if you can knock me out." Taehyung chuckles softly as Jimin delicately passes you into Taehyung's arms.
"Yeah true. If you need her knocking out again or anything, come see me." Jimin smiled as he gently ruffled your hair and begins to walk off.
"Actually, can you do me one thing?" Taehyung calls after him quickly as he speed walks towards him. Jimin hums softly as he runs a hand through his hair and smiles. "Make her forget about the whole slamming me into a wall thing." Taehyung smiles pleadingly at Jimin who sighs softly and nods. He places his hands either side of your face and closed his eyes for a moment before pulling away and smiling. Taehyung nods a thanks to him before the two quickly walk down the hall in silence.
