Next thing we knew, we found ourselves in a kid’s playground. We figured it’s the safest place we could be at that moment since kids are harmless plus we needed to be surrounded with positive energies.

We watched the rest of the news through my TV phone and everything that we heard and see there just seemed to make things more and more downhill for us.

Basically what Japan knows right now are; one, five teenage kids rubbed off a famous actress of a briefcase worth one million dollars, two, they seemed to be armed of some sort of gun, and three, one of them is identified as Fiory Akamatsu, daughter of the top rank food production company, the Akamatsu Corp. They even put on some blurry pictures of us while we were trying to escape for our life saying that the actress known as Gabriella Go will give a reward to whoever can give details of our whereabouts. I have no idea who Gabriella Go is as an actress nor how famous she was but I do know she’s a lying, stuck up bitch who got five innocent teenagers in trouble just so that she can keep her ass shiny. I was ready to pour corrosive liquid on her head at any moment.

“What are we going to do now?” Haruka asked worriedly.

“First thing first, we need to find a place to hide. Somewhere we know we can be safe for certain. After that, we need to figure out how to clear our name and make that stupid bimbo get a taste of her own medicine,” Shuichi said, clenching his fist angrily.

“Don’t worry about the second part. I already have that covered. Just think of a place we could hide for awhile,” I said confidently.

“And how are you planning to take down Go again?” Ryota asked doubtfully.

“DarkWaters666…he could help us,” I replied boldly.

“DarkWaters? His website was the one that exposed the METI’s fund scam. That was what made him well known. You know about him?” Ryota asked curiously now.

“I was only his partner on discovering the first anomaly issue we put together on that website. Let’s just say we go way back,” I explained then added, “I’m gon’na send him the shots I took from earlier and tell him what really happened. I’m sure with the huge connection he has now, he could help us gather more evidences to support what we already have.”

And with that, everyone had their mouth shut even Ryota which I was really glad about cause I’ve been wanting to shut that guy’s mouth since the first time I heard him blabber.

“We’ll take care of that later. Let’s start by keeping ourselves safe first. Anoo…Matsuru, didn’t you say your dad lives around here somewhere?” Ryota said, looking quite obvious that he wants to divert everyone’s attention away from me. Somehow I have a feeling that this guy wants to steal my thunder.

Matsuru looked at us sheepishly then and said, “Yes but you see, if you’re thinking that maybe we could crash there in his place for a few days it’s not going to be that easy. We’re not really in good terms.”

“What? But you said you came here to visit him. Was that a lie?” I asked straightforwardly.

“Um…no, not exactly.  When I said the word visit, you should understand that what I meant was that I’m just gonna peak on him secretly, see if he’s okay and leave. That’s what I’ve been doing for a long time now. I only get to see him once a year you see, me being his kid from another woman and all,” he said embarrassingly, looking at the ground.

We all sat there quietly for a moment and looked at him pitifully.

“Hey, I just told you guys my most embarrassing secret. I know you probably don’t even care but what is said in this circle stays in this circle alright?” He said, confidently smiling now.

            “Circle?” I repeated confusingly.

“Yeah. Now that we’re in this mess together, we’re a circle right? Affiance of five,” he said assertively and we all just looked at each other with probably the same thing on our mind.

“Yeah, alright. Affiance of five,” Ryota said smiling sincerely as he put his hand in front of us. Haruka and Shuichi nodded at each other simultaneously and without hesitation, they put their hands on top of Ryota’s hand. Matsuru gladly joined them after awhile and with that, they all looked at me with silly grins on their faces all hoping that I won’t disappoint them.

“Alright then,” I said with a wry smile and put my hand on top of theirs. I guess my wry smile was good enough for them since they accepted it well enough.

Everyone broke into a giggly mode at that moment. I really don’t have any idea where they still get these good vibes when we’re in that situation but as long as they don’t involve me on those touchy-feely moments anymore, I’m good.

Hey, don’t get me wrong here. They seemed like really great and cool people but I haven’t been surrounded with people my age for a long time that my mental age doesn’t seem to fit with them anymore. Honestly speaking, I feel like I’m with a bunch of kids instead of teens like me.

“Anyways, if we can’t stay on Matsuru’s dad’s place then I guess we need to book a hotel for when it gets dark. A small one would do, at least nobody might suspect us there so we all need to cough up some money,” I said after awhile and the giggly mode immediately faded after that.

“Yeah you’re right. If we wanted to remain in hiding for a long time and still be safe, we at least need money to keep us going,” Haruka pointed out.

“Exactly. So here’s ¥40,500 from me. That’s all of the cash I have here,” I said putting my money at the center of our table.

“Then here’s mine,” Shuichi said. “And mine,” Haruka added. With their contributions, it sums up to ¥85,200 so far.

“Alright then, add mine in,” Ryota said putting another ¥30,000 on the table.

“Here is mine too,” Matsuru was saying as he put a whooping ¥65,000 yen on the table. We all looked at him shockingly. He doesn’t seem like the rich type guy at all especially when we knew about his family problems but yet he was the biggest contributor there. With all the money they have at that moment, they could stay in hiding at five star hotels for a week and still have change.

“I suggest that Matsuru will also be the one to take care of our money. He seems responsible enough,” Ryota said as he gazed at me again. I don’t know what he’s trying to say but the message that passed through me was that I’m not the responsible type or something. I just rolled my eyes but gave the money to Matsuru willingly which he gladly accepted.

“Now let’s go find ourselves a safe place to stay,” I said as I stood up from the grass we were sitting on and began patting my pants with dirt but before I could even take another step, Haruka let out a soft “Oh-oh” which really didn’t sound good.

We all turned around to see where she was looking at and ironically Mr. Bulkhead and some other guy I haven’t seen before saw us exactly when we saw them. If you don’t remember Mr. Bulkhead, he’s only like the right-hand man of the goon and the blond bitch that got us in trouble.

“Run!” Shuichi shouted as Scary and Scarier sprinted across the playground to get us but he didn’t have to tell us twice because just by the sight of those two monsters made us run for our life-which is turning out as a regular thing in this circle.
