How long had it been when I did something fun? I can’t remember actually. I think it was around 2 months ago, when I was with those bunches of kids I hardly even knew. We were running for our lives, yes, but being with them, hopping from one place to another, doing things we’ve never done…it was definitely the most scary but also must fun thing I’ve done.
“Yeah, I really do want to get out of the house but why would I freakin’ go to a socialite party? You know I never attend those kinds of things unless I’m forced too,” I pointed out to my friend Kyo annoyingly.
“But this is different, you’ll be with me. You’ll never be bored since I’m there you know,” Kyo said with a laugh. I raised my eyebrow as if he was on the same room with me and not on the other end of the line.
“Trust me Kyo, you’re the most boring person I’ve once dated, only talking about computers and hacking and stuff,” I said trying to hold the laughter in.
“Ha-ha very funny,” he said not amused and added, “Com’ on Fiory, for old time sake, go out with me. Remember, you owe me a lot.”
I can tell he’s doing his eyebrow thingy even though I can’t see him. “Oh alright. See you later,” I said with a sigh.
“Yes! Is it a date?” He asked excitedly.
“Yeah, fine,” I answered with another sigh and finally put down the receiver. “Guess I have to get ready,” I said to myself.
It didn’t took me long to get ready, probably since I’m not that enthusiastic about going either. I mean, I do miss Kyo and I did wanted to see him for a long time to thank him personally but a party filled with socialites I imagine would be the worst night of my life.
I was immediately led inside a ball room when I arrived. Kyo said he’s already inside so I guess I’ll just have to find him there. As soon as I stepped inside the ball room, for some reason I keep grabbing people’s attention. Oh no! This is terrible. What if I have something on my face that I didn’t notice there earlier, or maybe my ball gown has a tore that I didn’t see, or…or…
I was in the middle of a mental panic when I heard a familiar voice from behind me saying, “You are such an eye catcher miss devil in red.”
I looked around confusingly just to see Matsuru standing there dressed in a navy blue tuxedo with champagne in hand.
“Matsuru!” I can’t help but shout aloud as I hugged him tightly no questions asked. “Whoa, easy there you’re squishing me,” he said with a giggle but he put his hands around me as well.
“Long time no see huh? How have you been,” he asked curiously.
“It had been boring without you guys. My life immediately went back to “the loner rich girl” but at least they’re letting me go to a real school now with real people,” I said with a chuckle. “I can’t believe you’re here. I really missed you,” I added as I gave Matsuru another hug, a softer one this time.
“Ahem! We didn’t knew you guys were dating,” someone said from somewhere in the crowd and I was stunned to see Shuichi and Haruka heading our way walking hand in hand. Matsuru and I immediately released one another and joined them.
“Kyaahh!” Haruka and I both screamed like a little girl as we gave each other a big hug. Shuichi and Matsuru did their own handshake thingies.
