(authors note: Gladys and Jellybean are back in FPs life. Falice decided to split, to give the Jones family another shot, for the kids.

Alice is deeply delved in the farm/cult life and it seems she will give in his efforts.)

My personal opinion is there won't be a triangle neither with Gladys nor Edgar.

By now Edgar Evernever was a permanent guest in the Cooper house. He took every opportunity to be close to Alice. She, in return, saw in his charismatic appearance a welcomed change to escape her emotional burden. She liked Edgar's advice in theory and practice to live in the moment, to free herself from negative influences by spiritual devotion. She wasn't aware that he manipulated her while pursuing other interests. His urging way to gain power through manipulation  seemed to be insatiable. He already had Alice firmly in his claws, she trusted him blindly there was only one small important detail left, then she was all his own.

Edgar had not touched the cup of tea Alice served him. Instead, he had approached her for no reason and pulled her closer while reaching for her shoulders.

Alice sensed what Edgar had in mind. His lips came closer and closer. She could already feel his breath on hers lips. Panic rose in her.

That wasn't what she wanted. A few weeks ago she broke up with FP, so he could realize the chance of an intact family, getting back with his wife and children. She would have ruined this possibility without pulling the plug to the right time. All she wanted was that he was fine and happy. But that doesn't mean her feelings for FP would go away. She had buried them more than 20years inside how should she be able to end them now and more important forever. FP would be always in her heart.

Alice had not seen him for weeks, or to put it right, she avoided him. She yearned to be close to him, she wanted to feel his touch, even Edgar was incapable of changing that with his omnipresent appearance. How could he? Alice saw him as a friend, as someone who helped her fighting against her lowest point in life. No, he wasn't the one she wanted. She didn't want to choose another alternative second choice because FP wasn't available like Hal was, during their time of marriage before he got exposed as a brutal serial killer.

„I can't." She stopped his clear offer.

„Why not?" We two understand each other, have a good time, we're on the same page. Remember, living in the moment. There is no reason, not to try it." He smiled at her.

„Actually there is a reason. I love FP!" There she said it, that sentence which hurted her so much because it was true. Now she wished she would've told FP before.

„But FP, Alice, isn't there for you. I'm here. Forget FP, he is with his family. It was your choice. Now let him go. Give your feelings free for another love.FP doesn't want you. Do you want to stay alone? Have someone who desires you?"

„I do." She blinked sheepishly as her voice almost failed her. „But not like this. Not without recognizing my own feelings. I have been trying to be someone else for far too long, didn't trust my guts and I missed my opportunity with FP in the past because I ignored my feelings."

„I can't let you go!" Edgars eyes darkened. He felt that he lost control. „I won't let you go!" His grip around her shoulder tightened, almost abusive.

Alice's eyes widened in fear. She had seen the exact dame anger before, back then when Hal tried to strangle her.

„Let me go!"

At the same time in Sunnyside trailerpark.

Gladys glared at FP. She had lost. She had lost him. One of more heated discussion since her return ended in an argument and without result. Both wanted only the same thing, the best for their family, the kids. At least that's what FP always thought. But now it was clear Gladys wanted to be in charge of the Serpents in the first place.

„You're righ, Gladys." FP sighed through clenched teeth. „It doesn't make sense anymore." And in this moment it was as though he suddenly saw the light. His eyes were tormented. It wasn't meant to be, not with Gladys. There had been so much change in her absence. He had changed.

He had everything under control. A whole year long. He had pulled himself together, for his son, his daughter, for Alice. Then Gladys came back into his life. He lost Alice, because she didn't want to be in his way to live cleared the a normal family life. He begged Alice not to leave him, maybe not long enough. She didn't wanted to be the one who he would probably blame for losing his daughter.

„That means, our marriage has finally failed? It's over with all consequences?" Gladys looked shocked and composed at the same time.

He nodded sad. „Yes, it's over. I'm sorry. I love our kids, I don't a minute with them nor with you. Believe me. I have done many things wrong in our marriage and I'm responsible. You can call me an idiot, you can berate me, Gladys, I deserve it. I'm so sorry I failed you and our life together, I'm so sorry our marriage was a nightmare most of the time, I'm so sorry I lost control. You deserved better. The kids deserved better."

Gladys wrinkled her forehead. He could see the tears in her eyes. She took a step towards him, stroked his chin tenderly and whispered: „You should go. Find her. As much as it hurts, that you chose her, I can see that you habe changed for better. I'm proud. It's good you found someone, who let you know what's important in life. We both made mistakes. That's life. At least we tried before we failed. Sometimes it isn't supposed to be."

Grateful he pressed her a kiss on the lips before he got his bike keys, his helmet and headed through the trailer door without anymore words.

He had to go to Alice. As fast as he can.
