Alice avoided FP for several days in the summer. Too deep was the disappointment of his renewed rejection before the Carrie musical performance. The feelings she had for this man all these years flamed up stronger more than ever. She was frustrated at not being able to tell him about Charles  her decision to support Charles as an informant of the FBI. Now she was standing in front of FPs trailer door. It was so early the kids just left for school. She was ready to face her demons, to communicate open minded with the man she loved. Fear spread through her shortly after she knocked hesitantly on the door. The last time she saw him, she had confessed him the bitter truth, the concealed pregnancy, the forced decision to give their son up for adoption and Charles supposed fate. FP had held for a long period of time, comforted her in his arms and at the same time he searched there for support and comfort in return. After that, they had set out to handle the situation around the impostor Chic.

FP opened the trailer door before Alice could review the disgusting events of the evening when Hal was exposed as a murderer. His grey T-shirt suited him very well and showed the muscular forms of his upper arms.

„Alice!" He spoke tenderly and hugged her, happy and without thinking about his actions, he surprised not only Alice but also himself. „I thought you were at the farm, to find inner peace."

She smiled shyly and nodded in agreement. The farm served her over the summer as a purpose, as a façade where  she could hide her emotions behind. „ I was ... and that's why I'm here now."

FP broke away from her and let a curl of her hair slide through his fingers while his eyes searched longing for hers.

„Edgar said I should start living, now, not in the past or future. The past is a burden that you carry with you, unnecessarily and you should not plan the future because everything that comes is fate. It just distracts you from living real and now. "

„And why does that lead you to me now?" FP asked curiously, his eyes still focused on hers.
„I think you should take that to heart as well. Live your life!"

As soon as she uttered the words, his lips hung on hers. He knew that he had not made it easy for her, treated her unfairly because he could not handle his feelings for her. He almost lost her when Hal tried to kill her. He had not cared for her, was too busy with his own problems.
He was relieved as he felt her tongue in his mouth as response to his unexpected approach. Both devoured each other as if there was no tomorrow. They had not even reached the sleeping area and faced each other half naked. FP slipped his hands over her bare skin, payed close attention to every inch of her body.

Later, they lay close together, bathed in sweat and enjoying the silent moment. Alice still could not let go of him, stroked his chin, his beard and oh so soft lips, which previously worked wonders at her body.
„This feels right, doesn't it?" FPs words sounded more like a statement than a question, and he didn't even regret a second he spent with the woman he held in his arms this time, he wanted her. „Glad the Farm, uh, opened you up to the possibility of us."

At that moment, she wanted to tell him about Charles. About the fortune they could share from now on. But instead, she turned away from him, remembering the task ahead of her and the secrecy associated with it. The right time would come. She could hardly wait.
