A sleek black car pulled up to the airport where a suited young man stood surrounded by a team of bodyguards. As he climbed in the car, most of his guards climbed into the car behind his, leaving him with one, white-haired bodyguard. Reclining in the soft leather seat, V looks over at the older man. "Glad to be back in Seoul hyung?"

Suga's face twisted into a scowl, "I thought those morons would never learn."

The silver-haired boy shrugs, looking unbothered. "It's normal for people to question Baekhyun suddenly having a younger brother appear out of nowhere. At least things have finally been settled."

The older gives a knowing look at his donsaeng, "How are you adjusting to the new role?"

V freezes, remembering the one night when he'd finally slipped away from his hyung for a much-needed break. Acting like a mafia leader had left him stressed and needing an outlet. He'd had to dispose of one of his favorite pairs of jeans afterwards. But the toy's screams had helped relieve him of some of the tension he'd been carrying around since leaving Jungkook a month earlier.

Speaking of Jungkook, the younger hasn't heard from him at all. He'd half expected that the ravenette would try to drag him back after he'd left, but instead it seemed the older man had simply accepted it. 'I guess he got tired of me. Maybe he realized how much trouble I cause and decided he was better off with me gone.' Pain pierces his heart at the thought of Jungkook maybe being glad to be rid of the younger boy.

Realizing that Suga is staring at him, he remembers that the other had asked him a question. "I'm adjusting fine hyung. I just hate all the fake people and politics that go along with everything. It's so frustrating having to smile at people I know are secretly waiting for me to fail. I'd rather make them beg and slit their throats, but then I'd mess everything up for Baeki-hyung."

The older nods,"You've been doing good kid."

The rest of the car ride is silent, each of the men staring out the windows at the passing cars and buildings. Fatigue pulls at V, but he knows he can't afford to sleep when they've only just arrived back in Korea. Glancing quickly at Suga, he inwardly frowns. On the outside, the older looks just as cold and unaffected as usual. But he knows his hyung well enough to see that something has been bothering him. 'Maybe I'm not the only one who felt conflicted about leaving the Jeons.'

As the cars pull up in front of the Byun mansion, V sighs and prepares himself to get back to work. Climbing from the vehicle, he strides towards the doors, only to find his path blocked by the appearance of a group of suited men, surrounding a man he hasn't seen in a month. Shock makes his eyes fly open wide, his heart leaping as he takes in the familiar face..........

"......................."
"......................."
"......................."

"Hyungie!"

Baekhyun's office

Baekhyun's eyes take in his younger brother, noting with relief how he seems to be completely recovered from the injuries he'd received at Jackson's hands. His eyes also don't miss the fatigue in the younger man's face, nor the fact that his jawline is slightly sharper, his cheeks slightly more hollow. Frowning, he admonishes, "You haven't been eating enough V, you've lost weight!"

The silver haired boy shifts self-consciously, fingers twisting together as he looks down. "Don't worry hyungie, I just was busy and didn't feel like eating very much."

The older gives a small but warm smile, "Well I'm very proud of how well you've been doing acting as my lieutenant. Especially since it's not a position you were ever trained for. But you still need to take care of yourself V!"

The younger nods, feeling guilty that he's made his hyung worry about him. Baekhyun frowns as he takes in the calm and quiet demeanor of the other boy. V was usually an adorable ball of energy, albeit a vicious one at times. It was strange to see him so quiet. "Hey," his voice is soft, "What's wrong? Where's my cute and hyper little brother gone?"

The silver-hair digs his pearly teeth into his soft, pink bottom lip as he struggles to restrain his emotions, unable to hold back the single tear that slides down his face. "I'm so sorry hyungie," his voice cracks, "Everything is my fault!"

The older freezes in shock, before quickly moving to wrap his arms around the emotional boy, "What do you mean sweetheart? What's your fault?"

"Y-your mother," V's voice wavers, "What you had to do. None of it would've happened if it weren't for me. I've made your life so much harder for years!"

The leader feels tears fill his own eyes, "That's what you think? V, you're my precious baby brother! I've loved you and wanted to keep you safe since I saw you skipping out of your school when you were just a kid! You didn't make my life harder; you made it brighter!"

Looking down at the younger boy, he cups his cheeks in his hands, using his thumbs to gently wipe away the tears trickling down his face. "You and Chanyeol are the most important people in my world, and I don't regret what I did even the slightest. If anything, I'm ashamed that it was my mother who did so much to hurt you!"

V's chocolate eyes widen, "No hyungie, please don't feel ashamed! You did so much for me!"

Baekhyun gives a watery chuckle, "I guess we both need to quit feeling guilty then, huh?"

Sniffing, the younger nods before wrapping his arms around the other's waist and burying his face in his chest. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed his hyung, and hearing that Baekhyun didn't blame him at all helped take a weight off his chest that had been there for weeks. The two sat and hugged each other, not moving until Chanyeol opened the door and cooed at the sight of the siblings. Now that they were home, it was time for Baekhyun and his husband to get back to work.

Elsewhere

"They landed back in Korea today. And apparently Baekhyun and Chanyeol have also returned and are ready to take up the reigns again."

"Hmm," the leader acknowledged the words of the other man, "If Baekhyun is back, then I think that means we've waited long enough. It's time to get what's ours."

The older gives a fierce grin, relieved that they can finally move. Turning to get the others ready, he smirks to himself, 'When will you learn not to underestimate me babe?'

AN: OMG, is this book really at 253k reads?? I just don't know why it's gotten so much attention! I'm so grateful for all of you! I love reading all your comments so much. And I do read them all, even if I don't answer.

Also, I took my 10 year old to see Burn The Stage last weekend, and it was so much fun! I loved it! And the MV for Waste It On Me is so good!

On a more serious note, (long rant here, sorry!) it honestly hurts my heart to see how many people on this platform don't realize how amazing they are. I see so many comparing themselves to others, whether it's how they look, or how they write, etc. You're yourself, and you can't possibly be compared to anyone else.  All of you are my babies, and I really want each of you to see yourself the way your parents should (I say should, cuz I know not everyone has the parents they deserve). My kids leave me awestruck at how I managed to create such amazing human beings. Seriously, I could write whole books about how incredible they are. But they don't see how wonderful they are, and that hurts! I know each of you may feel the same way my kids do, so please, try to look at yourself the way I would!

Okay, lecture over. But seriously, I 💜 you all and appreciate each of you!
