It wasn't his first time getting a job like this.
A corner store that was on the border of the neighborhood and a busy street- a place he was used to seeing, but he never stuck around before.
The pouring rain left echoes in the empty building that only occupied him and the sellable items. He leaned on the counter with boredom.
A night shift was suppose to be fun they said.
There's no boss to tell you what to do they said.
How did he end up listening to his friends?
Seokjin and Namjoon were suppose to make his life easier, not harder. What is he suppose to do on a graveshift? Talk to Casper or something?
"Aish, I'm so stupid for listening to them!" He grumbled under his breath while he stared at the frozen aisle.
Some slots of the drinks were gone by previous customers and in replacement was icicles that formed from the cold temperature.
His eyes shifted towards the snacks and the many other items that were with it, but all he could really remember was the snacks since everything else didn't really matter to him.
Same as the drinks, some snacks were missing, but no frost since it's not nearly as cold as the cooler.
A loud groan came from his mouth. This was beyond boring.
He was tempted to take out his phone to occupy himself, but he remembered how Seokjin had it.
Seokjin often scolded him to stop slacking and with that, he took his phone away. At least it was better for him to have it than the others.
Who knows what they would have done with his phone.
Especially Namjoon. Knowing how clumsy he is, he would of broken it by now.
The sound of rain was soon interrupted by the sound of a bell. The entrence door opened, revealing a girl with a large black hoodie.
She had her head covered by her hood, but it was visible that her clothes weren't waterproof.
Visible spots of dampness were shown all over her with tiny drops of rain. She must be feeezing.
Her face was covered by her hoodie, but there was an obvious tone in her skin that showed paleness.
He stared at her surprised by her appearance, but in return she ignored him.
He adjusted his voice by coughing, and he got ready to greet her, but he stopped. What was he suppose to say?
It's practically passed midnight.
Good night? Good evening?
He inwardly face palmed himself and just chose not to say anything. Instead, he just watched her.
She wiped her wet black boots on the mat before grabbing a basket from the pile next to her. He noticed her polite actions before she continued off into the store. She walked into the noodle aisle and began dropping items into her basket that was held by her other hand.
He stared at her a little longer before looking over to see if there would be anmore customers coming by.
None.
There wasn't anybody on the street except for busy cars going who knows where.
The open sign remained glowing on the window.
Open 24/7
He looked at the time on the clock that hung behind him.
3:46 am
