"So...do you come here often?"
I stared at Yoongi with a questionable look.
As much as I want to think that was a pick up line, I knew for a fact that he was actually asking a serious question.
We were in the bakery, and we were waiting for the cashier to bring Miss Kim's cake from the kitchen.
Yoongi and I didn't talk much on the way here after our little break at the bench, but since the cashier was taking long with the cake, I can only assume Yoongi was getting bored.
"No. Why do you ask?" I watched him impatiently tap his foot.
He had his hands in his pockets while the grocery bag laid on the ground next to his feet.
"Just curious," he replied.
I expected him to talk more, but instead there was silence. His foot stopped tapping and instead his eyes wondered.
I glanced at him while he looked around the place with his tired eyes.
"You never been here before- have you?" I asked him.
He turned around to look at me. He shook his head with his lower lip sticking out. He had a blank expression.
"Nope. I never even knew this place existed." He says with his eyes wondering off me. "Why is everything pastel and white? It's an eyesore. Shit."
I watched as he stared at the furniture and decorations that filled the building. He seemed to be impressed by this place, yet disturbed. He rubbed his eyes and tried to look away from the bright objects.
I smiled at his funny reaction. "You don't really like these type of stuff do you?"
He glanced at me before he scoffed. "Am I that easy to read?"
He looked away from me and stared at the cakes that were on display with gazing eyes.
"The cakes look nicer than everything else," he admits. "The colors compliment each other and they don't make me go blind. That's all I'm gonna say as a compliment."
I nodded my head from his opinion. "I'm assuming you don't like bright colors?"
He looked at me with a raised brow. "You've seen my apartment right? You should know the answer."
I silently nodded my head. I remembered the dark furniture that filled up the spaces in his living room.
"Yeah," I muttered under my breath.
There was silence again. I looked away from him and stared at the door that the lady went through before she left us standing here.
It would have been much easier if Yoongi wasn't here. I mean, I like that he wanted to come and all, but, his presence makes me feel awkward.
We aren't exactly friends so what was there for me to talk about with him?
He only came along because he thinks I'll be put in danger again. As much as I like his concern, I know that he'll leave once he knows Mister Wook's thugs aren't around.
I don't know when those guys will ever disappear though. Hopefully after this trip, I can try to make Yoongi think less of the situation I was in before.
I don't want him to worry about me. I need him to put a little faith in me that I can take care of my well being.
His existence is giving me a hard time. My past feelings keep coming back whenever he does something nice for me or whenever he draws close.
