"Your paycheck is going to go under this phone."
I stared at the phone Miss Kim gave me. It was new and it looked expensive.
I inwardly winced at the thought of the amount of money I was going to lose. How the heck am I going to pay Mister Wook for the next month?
Miss Kim glared at me with her sharp eyes. "You shouldn't have been so careless to break your old one. Don't be so stupid next time or else you're fired."
She crossed her arms with her slender figure. She was wearing her usual expensive white blouse and black skirt outfit with a pair of black high heels.
Her face was caked with make up with the compliment of expensive jewelry that hung on her neck, her ears, and wrists.
I nodded my head. "Yes, Ma'am. I won't let that happen again."
It was a natural routine to just listen and respond with lines that are similar to "Yes, Ma'am".
It's been like that for almost 2 years.
It was difficult at first, but after awhile, I got used to it. I was operated like a robot. I never really had a say to anything, and if I did, I'd only lose my job.
So I always kept my mouth shut.
Her face remained stoic before speaking. "Go. I already sent you a list errands to do for me on your phone."
I nodded my head and walked out the large living room.
After leaving through the gigantic entrance door, I found Rose outside standing at the end of the entrance stairs.
"You alright?" She asked with concern.
I sighed. "Never better." I forced a smile. I headed down the steps and reached her ground level.
"I heard what happened," she tells me. "Do you want me to send you my number? I can give you Jisoo's and Lisa's as well."
I nodded my head. "That would be nice."
She gave me a reassuring smile. "It's the least I can do. How did your phone break anyway?"
I sighed with a shake of my head. From that simple action of mine, Rose was easily able to catch on what I meant.
She stared at me with worry. "When are these loan sharks going to leave you alone? Those men are a bunch of thugs. Just call the police on them. It's hard seeing you like this."
I avoided eye contact from her. "I would if I could. I'd only get into more trouble. Besides, I don't want the authorities part of this. It'll only make a bigger mess."
Rose stared at me with unchanging eyes that always bore sadness and concern towards me. Her eyes soon shifted to my clothes.
"Those clothes you're wearing." She starts. "Did you change before you got here? I mean, if you got your phone broken that means you must have been attacked by those men. You clean yourself well."
I stared at the clothes I was wearing. The thought of that man came into mind.
"Yeah." Was all I could say.
I didn't think it was worth mentioning Yoongi. He was just another person that would soon fade away from my life.
I'll stay away from him. I don't need anymore people in my business.
Especially him. I don't need my old crush back in my life.
