"It's only been a few days, and yet you're already keeping up with the the orders. That's quite some skill you have to multitask."

I grinned at my manager, Mister Lee. I was in the back of the kitchen washing up dishes with ease. The day was hectic as usual with the customers that were piling in.

Though there were many, it was nothing compared to evening hours. I'm lucky to have a morning to noon shift.

Other wise, I would have been far behind with the amount of washing I'd have to do.

"Thank you, Mister Lee. I'm just doing my best so everything can run smoothly," I tell the ahjussi (old man).

He grinned with approval. "That's good. We didn't hire you for nothing then!"

He patted me on my back before walking off to check the other workers in the kitchen.

My focus went back to the pile of dishes next to me. Some were fully eaten off of, others had some food left, and few had food that was barely touched.

To have money and afford this type of food and yet not finish it- I wonder what it felt like? To be able to spend freely like that.

To not care what you did with your money. It must be nice.

If only they knew how much trouble people go through just for a meal a day. I guess I shouldn't be complaining though.

I had no place to speak since it's none of my business what others did with their life.

I continued where I left off with dishes until my shift ended. It was a strenuous hand ache from beginning to end as it usually was, and from there, I left and went to Jisoo's Mansion.

Another shift. Another day.

"Woah, you look tired!" Jisoo said in surprise.

I softly chuckled from her words. "Yeah. It's just how it goes with life." I tried to joke with her.

She giggled in response, but I could tell by the way she looked at me that she knew something was bothering me.

It was like her to not ask about it and just wait for me to tell her.

And I did.

She sat up in her bed while I sat next to her on one of the adjustable chairs. She wore a loose night gown and had her hair tied up in a bun.

She was always pretty to me, even in her homy appearance.

"I don't know if Rose told you, but my phone broke."

"Yeah. I heard." She hummed. "She was going on about how you needed another job. She thought I was going to be upset, but I wasn't."

My eyes remained on her as she spoke.

She smiled with her usual happyself. "You know I don't like being the one that everyone has to focus on. Heck, I don't even like being treated like a baby!" She whines.

"Come on. You know we all care about you." As much as Jisoo may seem light hearted, there was a certain tone in her voice that seemed as though she was troubled.

She might be feeling like she's the problem.

She sighed. "I know you guys do. I know my mom does too. I know everyone does. It's just- UGH."

I smiled at her childish behavior. Back in high school, she was always the one who wanted to do everything with us.

She always did the planning and she was always the one to speak to us whenever we were down.
