Where am I?
I stared at the ceiling above me with dry eyes.
I struggled sitting up. Those men really got me when I left the hideout. My body felt like it was on fire. Everything stung and made me want to scream out of pain.
I held my head as I tried to see my surroundings. It was dark, but I could make out what I could see.
I was in a room alright, but it was empty. As in, other than these blankets piled as my mattress, and this thin blanket on me, it was completely empty.
The walls were white without anything hung and there was no furniture. There was only a door and two windows.
Was I in someone's house? Or am I just dreaming?
All I remember was running to the nearest store and everything went black.
How did I wind up here?
I groaned as I tried to get up. My entire body felt like it was on fire. I gazed at the bandages wrapped around me before noticing ointment and a first aid kit laid on ground in front of me.
I raised a brow. Someone took me in and wrapped up my wounds?
A sudden rush of blood hit my face. I wasn't wearing my clothes, but rather a big shirt and shorts.
Where's my clothes? Did they really undress me? Oh please I hope not.
I checked to see if I was wearing a bra.
...
...
...
WHERE'S MY BRA?
It was replaced with terribly wrapped bandages that covered my entire torso.
The idea of someone seeing me naked made me panic in embarrassment.
I just hope to God it was a straight girl who took me in or even a gay guy.
I dragged my feet to the closest window to look outside. I undid the blinds and immediately the whole place lit up from the morning sun.
I squinted my eyes to avoid the glare of the sun. I saw people walking in the street and many other neighborhood buildings around me.
Apartments, houses, some small local neighborhood stores, and a small children park was all I could see.
Where the heck am I? This place is too lively compared to where I live.
I looked lower. I saw different people coming out of the same building I was in.
Was I in a small apartment building?
I heard a noise come outside the room.
I carefully made my way to the sound. I opened the door and peeked my head outside.
It was a small hallway that had one door across from me and another to the right of me. To my left lead to the living room.
I tip-toed my way through to the living room.
But nobody was there.
The kitchen was to my left and the living room was to my right. Straight ahead, between the two, was the front door.
The place was definelty small. Who ever owned this place really was trying to stay in budget.
The place looked neat, but had little color. Most of the furniture was black or a dark color tone.
