"...it happens alot, so I'm used to it" i tell hayley as we walk down the park. She nods. "So where exactly do you work?" Hayley asks. "There" i say, pointing at a bar you can barely see between 2 trees. "Oh! I've been there before. That's where I've found most of my exes" hayley laughs.
I roll my eyes playfully. "Hey lani mami!" I hear someone yell. I close my eyes hoping it isn't who i think it is. "Sister, sister" they say again. I turn around and see a curly hair girl with her glasses on and casual wear. "Hey Shaina" i breathe out. She comes running up to me and hugs me.
"You want a hug too ma?" Shaina asks hayley. Hayley looks at me then back at Shaina with confusion. Shaina smiles and nods. "Yeah you do" Shaina says and pulls hayley into a hug. I hear hayley breathe out an "ok." "Shaina" she says and shakes hayley's hand. "Hayley" she says as well.
I can feel the tension in the air. I know for fact Shaina doesn't feel it because she is just smiling while looking back and forth between me and hayley. "Um...hayley this is Shaina, one of my friends who is also my ex. And Shaina this is hayley..my....um friend" i say quickly. I see hayley kind of sad from the corner of my eye.
Shaina's grin becomes bigger. "Friend? Or-" i cut her off. "Shaina shut up! What are you doing here?" I yell. "Same as you two. To walk" Shaina says. "Well my walking is over. I have to go" hayley says quickly. I frown. "That quick?" I ask. She nods and waves goodbye before walking away. I sigh.
"Is she really just a FRIEND or something else? Because she seemed hurt when you said friend" Shaina says. "No shit. For real?" I huff and start walking away. "You could've just said what you guys actually are. You know i wouldn't be mad" Shaina says as she catches up to me.
"The thing is that i don't know what we are!" I yell in frustration. "Communicate" Shaina simply says. I look at her. She nods. "Talk to her. Ask her. Listen to her. Just communicate" Shaina says. I nod slowly. She's right. Me and hayley haven't talked ever since what happened with marla and all that. We only talked for a bit today which was only about how our day was.
I tell Shaina i have to go. As soon as i get home i change into my uniform and head out the door. I walk to the club that i work at. "Kehlani! You're 5 minutes late!" My manager yells. He thinks he owns the god damn place. He is always bugging me. Managers have to do their job, of course but he takes advantage of it but i'm not having it.
"If i came in 5 minutes before it wouldn't have made a difference. I'm here, ok?" I say annoyed. "Just get to work" he says."That's what i came for" i mumble.
As the night went on i obviously got more tired. "Hey mama! You look gorgeous" i hear a male voice say. I turn to look at another drunk jerk. I fake a smile and thank him. "Are you really going to have another drink?" I ask. He nods. "Hell yeah, girl" he slurs his words. "Or maybe i can have a meal..." he says while looking me up and down.

I was hurt when kehlani said we were just friends. I know we aren't official or anything but it still hurt because she knows i like her. At least i think she does.
I decide to go to the club where kehlani works since i usually go there. She didn't say she was going to work today so i bet I'm good. When i get there i walk to the bar and i hear some drunk guy talking to the bartender. Talking stupid shit. I look up to see kehlani.
"Lani!" I call out. I see her sigh in relief and she walks towards me. "Oh! Hey babe! Did you feed the kids?" She asks a little loud enough for the man to hear. He frowns and gets up to leave. "Most men here don't like hooking up with girls who eat pussy and married" kehlani says once the man is gone.
"So how many kids do we have?" I smirk. I fucking hate myself for falling for her once again, but I'm not tired of it. Not yet, and I'm not ready to stop either. "As many as you want" she winks at me before turning around. She turns back around after a few minutes. She slides me a drink with a paper underneath .
I read it. "Sorry :( forgive me?" Was written on it. I look up at kehlani who is now looking at me. "About what happened at the park?" She nods. I smile and nod. "Yeah. I forgive you" i say. "What time do you get out?" I ask. She rolls her eyes in an annoyed way. "You wouldn't wait so long to walk me home or something" she says.
"Just tell me when" i insist. She sighs. "2 in the morning" she answers in a low voice. I choke on my own spit. I shouldn't really be surprised for how long she works especially knowing it's at a club but damn...i am surprised. Very much.
"I'm waiting" i say with confidence. Kehlani looks at me and starts laughing. "What's so funny?" I ask. "That you say it with so much confidence" she says. She calms down when she sees someone ask for a drink.

"Hayley....hayley!" I hear my name. I get shaken awake and i open my eyes to see kehlani smirking down at me. "Am i in heaven?" I ask. She laughs and smacks my arm playfully. "You're so cheesy." I get up from my seat and we both head out.
◇●◇●◇marla's pov◇●◇●◇
"Marla! Nice meeting you! I'm really glad you came my name is jesse. If you can follow me i will show you who you will be working with" the man says. I follow him into the dressing rooms. When he opens the door i recognize a voice.
Just as i thought...Lauren was sitting on a chair talking on the phone. She sees me and quickly hangs up. She smiles and bites her bottom lip. "Marla?" She asks trying to remember. I nod. "So you guys already seem to know each other. Great! If you may...please get started" jesse says before leaving us alone.
"Have you washed your face already?" I ask. She nods. "Good" i whisper. "Coincidence? I think not" i hear Lauren say as i work on her. "I think it is" i say. She smirks. "It's destiny babe" she whispers making both of us laugh. "Well isn't that a cute laugh you got there." I blush.
"Oh, you're blushing" she says. "I put some blush on so don't feel special" i joke. She laughs. "Ok sure." Once I'm done with her i set her free to go work. I walk out the room following her to where the photos will be taken in case there are some touch ups that will be needed.
"Where is Sophie!" I hear jesse yell. "Sir, she won't be coming in. She quit" a woman says following behind wherever jesse goes. "Fuck!" He groans. He then turns to me. He looks me up and down. Squinting and observing me. He then points at me. "You. Want to be a model for a few days?" He asks.
"Umm..y-yes of course" i stutter. He nods. "Good. Give her some papers to sign and she is ready to go. Now...the photos today will be just in your underwear and bra, is that ok?" Jesse asks. I take a deep breath and nod. I'm not so insecure with my body, I'm just too shy. I was shy with hayley when i was with her.
They send me to a dressing room to change. When I'm done i grab a robe and walk out. All waiting for me i take my robe off and position myself wherever i need to be at.
"Let me take you out for a drink afterwards" Lauren says when i do some touch ups on her makeup. "W-what?" She smiles. "You heard me. Meet me outside of the building in front of here at 6:30" she says. She doesn't let me finish nor does she let me speak and stands up to leave.
Guess i don't have a way out of this one.
