"Ok. Take care! Bye!"
I wave at Shaina who just dropped me off at the airport. I'm finally going to go see hayley for the first time in a while. I missed her so much. The apartment was starting to get a little too quiet for my liking. I turn around and walk towards the gate.
Fortunately i got seated next to people who were rather calm. No babies crying like in movies that I'm always watching, or something weird or sketchy happening. It was perfect.
It's currently February 20, 10:30 am. I see hayley in 2 days. I would totally want to just surprise her in her hotel but i much rather wait until her concert and surprise her. I really wish i could perform with her more. We've only done it once and it ended quickly. All because we over used our time, that's when they decided to cut off the microphones. Assholes.
As i arrive at my hotel room i notice that the place is pretty decent. It's about the size of my own bedroom. A single bed, bathroom of it's own, TV, telephone, and all of it's other stuff. Now, the only thing I'm actually questioning, what am i going to eat?
I've been recommended a few places by a few friends but not only do i not know the location, i know how transportation works around here. I could rent a car but i kind of don't want to do that either. I'm also tired, i woke up extremely early, i have no idea why though.
I take a 30 minute nap before heading out the door. I take the elevator down to the first floor as i make my way to the uber i called a few minutes ago. The car ride was quite which i enjoyed. I step out the car walking towards a restaurant i saw on the way to the hotel. There were mostly no lights in the place most light came from the sun, all the plants surrounding the place caught my attention.
As I'm about to open the door i recieve a facetime call. To my luck it's hayley. I panic and run towards the brick wall of the restaurant and place my back on it. I accept and see hayley's face slowly coming clear on my screen. I wave my hand. Judging by the background i can see that she is inside some sort of restaurant. The only light that is showing is the sunlight penetrating through the window filling up most of the place. There was plants surrounding the window. There was indistinct chatter in the background as well.
I can feel my heart beating against my chest. What if she finds out I'm here already? Hoping i still haven't got caught i try to calm myself down and smile at the camera. "Hey baby!" I say cheerfully.
Hayley gives me a warm smile. "Hi keh...how are things going?"
Thankfully she was being herself once again. And I'm glad for that. "It's going great. My album is all done! It sounds great. But I'm also so happy that you will be done with tour in just a couple of days" i really want to talk to her more. The thing is my stomach is protesting and saying otherwise.
I see hayley scratch the back of her neck. "Yeah..about that" she starts off, "i- well me and my crew were actually thinking of staying a bit longer, you know. We want to explore a bit more, i mean, we have been traveling so fast that we haven't gotten the time to actually look around. But i promise i will get back soon" she says with an apologetic tone.
I felt my heart sink as she spoke. More time without hayley? What am i supposed to do? I suppose it's about time i start speaking to myself at dinner as i used to do when i was always alone. Sure my other friends would visit once in a while but then they got jobs and all that.
"I need to go...take care. Bye." I don't wait for a response i can say it was quite rude but i didn't really want to talk at that moment. I will have to apologize for that later. I put my phone away and walk into the restaurant. Most windows had plants all around them.
"Seat for one?" The waitress asks. I nod. She signals me to follow to which i lazily do. She sets a menu in front of me. I order a drink before she leaves. I look around. My heart stops when i see the blonde beauty sitting across the restaurant with a brunette sitting across from her. The waitress comes back after a few minutes.
"Are you ready to order?"
"Yes, i would like to have anything that blonde beauty orders" i say as i point to hayley who has no idea I'm even here. I still don't want her to know. The waitress gives me an odd look. "She's my girlfriend she just doesn't know I'm here..." i say. I can't let her think that I'm a creep or something.
Being left alone once again i still stare at both women who are minding their own business. I see marla reach out across the table for hayley's hand. I frown as i don't see hayley flinch or even back away.
They are just friends kehlani...nothing else, i tell myself. I don't want to be those types of girlfriends who get jealous for no fucking reason. That would just be annoying as hell. After successfully eating for 20 minutes without getting caught i literally run out the restaurant. I wonder how long hayley was in there before i got in there and how long she stayed after.
It's finally February 22nd. I'm going to go see my baby! I make my way to the venue. I decided to wear a hoodie some jeans and sunglasses though there is no sun at all. I just don't want anyone recognizing me just yet. I don't want to get called out, that would just ruin the surprise for me and hayley.
I spot fabienne who is hayley's manager stepping out the bus, she is the last one. I run to the fence that is separating me from her. "Fab!" I yell. She looks directly and frowns. I look around to see if anyone heard me. There were just a few heads turned but they went back to focusing on what they were doing before.
I wave at her to come over. She hesitates before walking. "It's me, kehlani" i whisper. "Can you let me in with you? I want to see hayley. I want to surprise her" i say. "Oh! Hey! I didn't even recognize you!" She exclaims. She nods with a smile before letting me.
I thank her and she leads me to a room. "Hayley won't see you in here she's in her own dressing room. She will be out in about 20 minutes" fab explains. I nod and thank her once again.
In exactly 20 minutes hayley's name was being chanted and yelled. Suddenly the crowd goes more wild, yeah...my girl is up on stage now. She sings a few of her songs before it gets to one of my favorites. I quickly ask fab if i can have a microphone.
"...got me frustrated!" I start singing and hop onto the stage. The crowd starts to yell. Hayley's reaction is priceless. She throws herself on me. We hold each other for about 10 seconds and we pull away. I grab her face just admiring her beauty. "I love you!" i yell over the music.
"I love you too!" She yells back with tears in her eyes. I kiss her passionately giving her everything i have in that one kiss. She will be the death of me. I feel her hands go down my back all the way to my butt. She squeezes it lightly. Everyone's screams were loud enough to tell me they saw.
We laugh and break apart. "Let's keep the show going" i say as we both begin to sing again.
