While this was happening, The gang outside were worried sick. Neither Ace or Snake came out. The Powerpuff Girls decided to check on Ace. They knew the they would be in the lab.
When they made it to the room, they saw a shocking scene. Ace was laying on the ground in pain. Untoium layed on the floor, as well . Snake was sitting between the bodies breathing sharply with blood dripping from his mouth. The girls knew that the blood wasn't his, because there was a puddled of it near the professor neck. Sanford looked up at the girls.
Sanford: "I-I'm sssorry. I didn't mean to. H-he hurt Asce."
Buttercup: "He's still alive."
Buttercup checked tye professor for a pulse. He had one. Sanford tried to help Ace up, but every moved Ace made, it hurt. They both needed to go to the hospital. Untoium needed poison removed from his veins. Ace needed to be checked for anymore damage to his lung.
At the Townsville's hospital, the problem was more sinister. Sadly, Professor Utonium didn't make. Sanford wasn't charged with murder because he was protecting himself and his leader. Also, there was lack of evidence. If the professor did survive, he would of been charged with kidnap and attempt murder towards Ace.
Ace did survive. But, he went through surgery and wasn't allowed out of the hospital untill he healed. As he laid in bed, he held on to Sanford's hat, since he still had it. He was going to give it back to him, but Snake was dealing with questioning by the cops and doctors.
Ace heard the door open. He sat up slowly and saw Buttercup.
Ace: "H-hey."
Buttercup sat beside the gang leader. She said "hey" back.
Ace: "I sorry about your dad. You might be really mad at me and Snake."
Buttercup: "Ace, I not mad at you. What Professor was uncalled for. You never told me about Snake. And I don't think he wanted us to know."
Ace: "how's Snake?"
Buttercup: "He's fine. He with Billy, Grubber, and Arturo. He can't stop mentioning you."
Ace chuckled, but coughed a little.
Ace: "At least he's ok."
