Later on, Ace said goodbye to Murdoc and thanked him for helping out. Murdoc gave Ace his phone number so his friend could contact him. "If you have a problem, contact me" Murdoc winked. Ace smiled and nodded.
As they walked back, Snake refused to give Ace contact. Ace knew Sanford was mad at him. "You alright, luv?" Ace asked. Snake didn't answer. Ace stopped and grabbed Sanford by the arm. Ace didn't like to be ignored. Snake yanked back to get his arm back. "Ace, Ssstop!" He yelled, "You lied to me! You sssaid you were getting better!" Sanford stormed off, leaving Ace to walk home by himself. The gang leader sighed. He looked at the clouds and knew it was about to rain. Ace walked the other way and decided to go to a bar. Sanford was nearly home when it started to rain. The mutant stop. The rain reminded him of when he met Ace. Sanford began to cry as the rain poured down.
I'm sssorry, Acse" He sobbed, "I'm sssorry". He turned around and ran to find his friend. Ace was close to a bar when he heard Snake behind him calling his name.
Snake ran up to him and hugged him. "I-i can't" Snake whined, "I can't be mad at you. You're important to me. I can't. I'm sssorry."
Ace hugged Snake back. "It's ok" Ace said, "You have the right to be mad at me. I should of told you" Snake kissed Ace and returned to the hug. A crowd walked in front of them. "Hey look!" one yelled, "The murderers of the professor are gay." Some laughed. Some gasped. Ace grabbed Snake's hand and tried to get out the crowd. He succeeded and ran to the hideout with his friend.
They walked in and saw the rest sleeping on the couch while a horror movie was on. Ace walked over to the TV and unplugged it. Big Billy, Grubber, and Lil Arturo woke up from the sound changing. "Alright!" Ace said, "Time to hit the hay." Ace pointed to the rooms. They all got up from the couch and head for their room. Snake was at his door till Ace grabbed ahold of his shoulder. "You can sleep with me tonight" Ace smiled. Snake smiled back and went with his leader.
As they laid in bed, Snake stayed close to Ace while he slept. The mutant kept his head on Ace's chest, listening to him breathe. "Why wore you keeping it from me?"
Snake looked up at Ace. Sanford barely saw Ace without his shades. Ace always had it on. No matter what, he wouldn't take them off. Sanford sat up and kissed Ace's forehead. He laid back down after that and fell asleep.
