"Harriet Kepner Avery! You come back here right this instant."

A small girl runs towards the road where a tight traffic jam is in place. I look around and see that there's a guy running as fast as he can out of his apartment and another girl starting her car. The the guy, I recognize as Jackson Avery, the attractive plastics surgeon who recently divorced his wife, April Kepner.

I had transferred to Grey-Sloan quite a few months ago and Jackson and I had been dating for quite a while now. He was honest, unlike some of the other guys I've dated, and I knew about his ex-wife April and his little daughter Harriet. However I never met Harriet before.

The traffics were going to die down soon, and the girl, who looked like she just learned how to walk, was crossing the road unknowingly. Soon she'd be crushed by who knows how many cars because no one could see her.

"Hey, hey." I kneel to the ground to seem less intimidating. The little girl turned her attention towards me. "I'm (Y/N). You must be Harriet. You're Harriet right?"

I looked around and saw Jackson staring at the road in horror. "Get April."

Jackson nodded and ran as fast as he could towards April's silver car. I looked back at the girl. "Are you Harriet Kepner?"

She nodded.

"It's a beautiful name. Do you mind coming over here?" I wasn't skinny enough to fit between the cars like she did. The only way was to call her back here.

Harriet took one step towards me and my heart leapt. She was coming. "Yea that's it, wow you walk so well already, I bet you could become a world renowned hiker. You can climb the biggest mountains one day."

She smiled again, this time walking faster towards me.

"Wow, you're going so fast keep it up." I encouraged. Suddenly she went even faster and lost her balance, falling to the ground. I widened my eyes and she started crying, sitting in the middle of the traffic. My heart paced faster and April sprinted towards me unhappily.

"Oh my god. Oh my god. Harriet come back here!"

Harriet cried harder at her sight of her mother's distress and the trauma surgeon freaked out even more. "Oh no no no, don't cry ladybug, you're gonna be alright ok?"

"Calm down April." I soothed.

"Calm down? You can't tell me to calm down when my baby is stuck in th middle of the traffic and you haven't saved her yet! I will not calm down!"

"I'm a pediatric surgeon and I am not responsible for your child in the middle of the road so 'Ms' Kepner, you are going to have to calm down." I scolded, then turned my head back towards the girl in the middle of two cars.

It was too tight for me to squeeze in between, but maybe, maybe I could jump over the cars. I struggled between the two choices, I was definitely skinnier than both Jackson and April, so I'd be the best bet. In fact I was a stick, no curves, no fat. Me and Teddy were dubbed the skeletons because of our figures. However I was extremely introvert unless I was in a medical situation, I'd never jump over a car. But this little girl was sitting between two cars and the only way I could see her was when I knelt down and looked between two other cars.

I decided and jumped on top of the first car, and a few honks came at me. Sliding off and running between the sides of another two, I crawled down and picked up Harriet. "Hey Harriet, you're going to be alright, I'm gonna bring you to mommy and daddy ok?"

Retreating from the cars, I felt them move and I quickly ran the other direction, stuck in the middle of traffic. I swore in my head and pushed her as far along the car front as I could. After getting on top of the same car, I stood up, grabbed the little girl and jumped off onto the sidewalk, handing her to April as the traffic started again.
