Chapter Six: Baby Doll

~Alex's pov~

Waving bye to Delilah I head off towards the set of double doors in front of the building. I feel a content smile practically gorilla-glued to my face. See that wasn't so hard. I roll my eyes discreetly but still am smiling like a school girl who just got acknowledge by her crush for the first time. Angling my body towards Tyler's car I smile at him brightly and hear Tyler yell,"Hey bro! How'd it go?"

Right when I go to answer,"it was go-",  I was cut off from a large weight that suddenly pounced on my body almost sending me to the ground before I quickly regain my balance.

"Hi", I hear being yelled into my ear loud enough for me to hear, rather loudly, and Tyler but no one else. The volume right next to my sensitive ear startles me making me jump slightly.

Recognizing the small voice laced with excitement I laugh,"Hi Colby", I quickly grab onto his thighs that wrapped around my hips to make sure he doesn't slip. Though it would
Be funny.. And painful. Checking the time on my phone I gesture for him to jump off so I can go. Moving so I can see both of them,"alright I have to go. You know the agreement. Its 2:15", I smile at them again then began walking away after waving at them and flipping both of them off in true tradition.

Turning the curb I walk to the front doors and quickly make my way to the main office. Seeing my girl sitting in a chair I make my presence known when I clear my throat in an over-exaggerated manor. Seeing her head of brown curls pop up at the sound I smile and open my arms just in time to catch the body that was launched at me. I spin around in a circle making her laugh joyfully sounding like bells. Pulling away far enough to see her bright smiling face and chocolate brown eyes I laugh,"Hi baby doll. Did you have a good day", I question with an overly happy tone lacing through my voice unconsciously.

I love her so much.
She is my world.

Nodding excitedly she quickly starts signing to me that she has a present for me. Nodding my head slightly,"alright princess well you can give it to me when we get home, okay?". Signing me a quick 'yeah' I walk to the desk and smile at the elderly lady,"thank you so much for watching her again. Sorry I was later than usual I got slightly caught up at the school with some friends", I smile again trying to show my gratitude as much as possible.

"Its no problem Alex. You know that we all love Olivia", she smiles at the blushing child that's squirming in my arms.

Smiling brightly at the compliment Livvy was given I thank her again,"I'm hoping she wasn't too much trouble today".

Shaking her head at me she smiles brightly again,"Oh of course not! She was an absolute angel today, like usual. Your raising her well considering the situation". Smiling to try and hide the light tint of pink that was brushing over my cheeks at the compliment I wasn't prepared to receive, I thank her once again. About to walk away I quickly around remembering something. Setting Livvy down I  kneel on the floor in front of my bag pulling out the only thing that was in the front pocket of my school backpack.

"This is somewhat of a 'thank you' to you and Mrs. Hall. Livvy insisted on picking it out for the both of you, even told me what to write on it", pointing at the card a handed to her moments ago. Looking at the now open card I scan the messily scrawled words:

To Ms. Abigail and Mrs. Hall,

A quick thank you for understanding my situation and helping without much question. Raising Olivia is more possible with you and the school systems help.
