Black. The only thing she sees. Weak from injury and loss of blood, there is nothing else. Even the slightest movement only causes her to wince in pain. She is helpless. And she only blames herself.
Voices beyond the the darkness around her are faintly heard. She tries her best to call them, but it is no use. She is weak. She is useless. A warm, wet substance slides down her cheek. Soon enough, tears are flowing from her eyes.
"I'm sorry," She whispers through the pain. The voices come closer. For a second, she believes she recognizes one. A teenage boy's voice. Completely innocent, yet full of worry and sorrow. Bricks and planks of wood are being thrown in the air, falling back down with a loud thud. Slowly, the weight of her pain seems to drift away. She calls again, and this time is answered by a gentle ray of light.
Her surroundings become clearer. More bricks and stones, wooden boards, and shards of glass are scattered all around her. Piled up over her are the remains of what was once a tall apartment building.
"Help, h-help me! Please!" She calls out weakly. Her eyes began to adjust to the brightness around her. A blurry red figure appears, still tossing debris off to the side. More and more wreckage is removed until the man in red pauses and stares down at her. Suddenly, he jumps up, yelling something she couldn't hear. A second figure in green clothing joins him as her eyes clear and everything becomes visible.
She gasps upon recognizing the red ninja, wondering how on earth he survived the crash. When she looks up at the green one, Lloyd Garmadon, he still has the same heartbroken expression. She can't look at him any longer without crying. But as her tears fall, he speaks.
"Harumi. You're alive."
