(Y/N)'s POV

I walked up to Connor as he sat at his desk, scanning through files and what not.

"Hello, Connor. Do you have a moment?" I asked. He looked up at me and nodded with a smile.

"Of course. What do you need?" I pulled up a chair and sat next to him, causing him to turn his chair toward me.

"I was thinking up strategies and techniques for making friends and colleagues, and I was wondering if maybe you'd like to start an exchange diary?" Connor pulled a blank face.

"Uh... a what?"

"An exchange diary! From what I pulled up, exchange diaries were popular in the earlier 2000's and are still done today. It's a diary that you write in, and the next day, you give it to your partner and they write on the next page." I explained. Connor nodded and looked down in contemplation.

"What makes you want to start one with me?" He said with a finger to his chin.

"Like I said, we don't have much time to talk normally, so I thought an exchange diary would be a fun way to get to know each other better." Connor stared at me for a second before smiling.

"Alright. I'll partake." I pulled a fresh notebook out of my bag and handed it to Connor.

"Here. You go first. You can hand it into me this evening or tomorrow morning." Connor nodded, pulling out a pencil and writing immediately. I stood up and put the chair back from where I got it, walking to the break room to meet up with Hank.

Connor approached me with the diary the next day, holding a cup of coffee. Or... I thought it was coffee.

"Here." He said, putting the diary on my desk. I looked up at him, giving a small smile.

"Thanks. Can I read it now?" I asked. Connor nodded.

"Sure."

"By the way, what's in your coffee cup? It doesn't look like coffee." Connor looked down at his cup.

"Oh you know, good old Coke." I looked at him as he took a sip.

"Cocaine comes in powder form, Connor. Or... did you put cocaine in your coffee?" Connor tried his best not to choke, almost spilling his cup on the floor. He looked at me, covering his mouth.

"U-Uh... no? Coca-Cola..." He said, trying to hold back a smile.

"Oh... I apologize, Connor. I should've thought of that..." I mumbled the last part, putting a finger to my lips.

"Anyway, I'll let you enjoy your... Coke." I smiled, making Connor nod and walk away.

Eager to see what Connor wrote in the diary, I flipped open to the first page.

| Starting an exchange diary sounds fun.
| I need more detergent for my laundry...
| Gavin's a real bitch.

I couldn't help but smile at the last bullet point. He certainly was just writing down thoughts that came across in his mind...

I wrote down some questions I had for Connor, hoping I didn't get too personal.

| (Y/N)
|
| What's it like having Hank as a father?
| Is it hard? Is it fun?
| Does Connor drink with him when times are "rough"?

I smiled at my page, closing the diary and sitting back in my seat.

I happily walked up to Connor, holding a bag behind my back.
