Connor's POV
I sat in the desk across from my dad, Hank, scanning through files on my computer. I was on the 178th file, I believe, when I heard the door to the department open."Who's that?" I heard Hank mutter to himself. I looked up to see who had entered, and there stood a female android. Her LED was spinning a yellowish green as her (E/C) eyes scanned the room. When her eyes landed on us, her LED turned to a cool blue and a smile was planted on her face as she began walking towards us.
"Hello there, Lieutenant Hank and Connor Anderson. A pleasure to meet you. My name is (Y/N), the android made by Cyberlife." She introduced herself as she reached us.
"I was sent by Cyberlife to help you in investigations on deviants." She said. Dad didn't look amused.
"Yeah, well, we don't need any help. We work fine as a team, right Connor?" Hank looked at me.
"Actually, Dad, we failed to solve three past crimes in a row." I stated a-matter-of-factly.
"..." Hank didn't say anything as (Y/N) smiled.
"I guess you do need help, then." She bent over slightly to reach Dad's height, seen as he was sitting in his office chair. He glared at her.
"Fine, fine. I'll let you help us as long as you don't get annoying." He gruffed out. I chuckled lightly at my dad's actions as (Y/N) stood up straight again.
"Great! I hope I'll be of great help in the future!" Her voice sounded so genuinely happy, and her smile showed more proof of that. If not for the Cyberlife outfit and the LED, I would have thought she was an actual human being.
"Hank!" I heard Captain Fowler yell from across the department.
"In my office, please!" He said. Hank groaned as he got up from his seat.
"You two stay here, I'm gonna go see what he wants." He pointed at us both.
"You got it, Dad." I nodded at him as he walked towards Captain Fowler's office. (Y/N) smiled at Hank as he walked off, and I took this time to really look at her properly. Her short, (H/C) hair was tied up in a loose ponytail and parted above her left eye.
She sported a dark grey Cyberlife coat with the Cyberlife logo planted on the left side of the jacket. It also had a light blue glowing band on the right arm. It was unbuttoned and underneath the jacket was a white shirt with a dark blue tie.
Instead of a skirt, she had loose, black shorts the reached her kneecaps. It had pockets on the sides that could probably hold a wallet or two, which was what was in her right pocket. I'm not sure why she would need it, probably for an ID or something.
Her shoes were nothing special, just plain black, shiny shoes with black socks to match. She also had a gun holster with a gun inside. All detectives and lieutenants had to have one.
Soon enough, she realized I was staring at her and blushed a light blue.
"Is there something wrong, Detective Anderson?" She asked. I looked up at her and shook my head.
"No, no. Nothing's wrong." I defended calmly.
"Anyways, uh, do you like dogs?" I tried to start up a conversation. As soon as I mentioned dogs, her eyes lit up like a kid's if they were in a candy shop. Is that term still used in 2038?
We talked for a bit before Dad walked back up to us.
"Alright, kiddos. We got a homicide case on our hands. (Y/N), you better do a good job, or else I'm throwing you in the garbage chute." Hank threatened. (Y/N) didn't seem fazed.
"Got it." She pointed from her left temple outwards with two fingers, almost like a salute.
"Fuckin androids..." Dad muttered under his breath as he walked towards the exit of the department.
"Don't mind him. He's just got somethin against androids that I don't quite understand." I whispered to (Y/N). She looked at me as we followed after Hank.
"I never did mind him. Don't worry, Detective Anderson." She reassured me with a calm smile. I shook my head, making me feel slightly dizzy as I walked.
"No need to be so formal. Just call me Connor." I stated. Her LED went from blue to yellow as she processed the command from me.
"Alright... Connor." Her head tilted to the right like a dog's as the name rolled off her synthetic tongue. I smiled.
I knew (Y/N) would fit right in.

AAAAAAAAAYYYY, I actually updated this book without a suggestion. Because I haven't gotten much popularity out of this book.
Yayyyyyyyyyyy...
Hey, I might make this an actual series! The idea is interesting, and there are not many books out there where Connor is a human.
The next update should be ready around maybe 8/15/18, since school for me is starting on the 16th. Updates, uh, might be slow... sorry.
