Amie's mom is a hair dresser so after I'd given her that lecture she when strait to work and when she was done I had a cute bob cut with strait bangs. I'd never had strait bang before so it felt weird. I looked at myself in the mirror, and let out a little sob.
"What's wrong?" asked Amie "It's not that bad is it?"
"No it's great, I love it." I say tears spilling from my eyes. "I was just thinking... I should have... I should have gone after him... I should have..."
"No, no." Amie says grabbing my hand "You could not have done anything."
"You don't know that, maybe if I had just tried harder, I should have tried harder." I took in a deep breath "If I had done that maybe I could have saved him, if I had just found him before... those things did, I could have gotten him home and he be safe and I never would have known that those two exist."
"Isn't it better to know? So you can protect yourself"
"No! I'm going to live the rest of my life wondering if the people I care about and myself... are going to die at their hands. so no it's not better to know Amie."
