Jason : "This is what l like to call ''quiet time''. lt's when we reflect on the things we've just done."

Polly : "sorry , something to matter? "

Jason : "You think?" 

Polly : "Is it me?"

Jason : "You were fine" 

Polly : "So it's that Carter girl , isn't it? You love her don't you? it's okay i don't love you either , i just need you as my cover up , because of my family , this is just a bonus" 

Jason : "l'm getting out of here."

Polly : "Where are you going?"

Jason : "I'm taking shower"

Polly : "Hope you drown in there"

Jason :"Thanks , that was kind ,"

Polly : "rude!"

Jason is holding telescope and Polly comes to the room

Polly: "i thought you were taking shower?"

Jason : "changed my mind"

Polly : "Who are you spying on?" she takes the telescope from his hands to get look too

Polly : "That her? oh no! she seems sad Little baby's upset by the big, bad book"

Jason : "Shut up! "

Polly : "what's up your ass , you never acted like that ever before!"

Jason : "Nothing"

Polly : "She's really getting to you, isn't she?"

Jason : "if you must know then yes , l don't know what to do. l can't stand that 'holier than thou'' bullshit....yet l'm completely infatuated with her but i've always been ever since we were kids. She made me laugh."

Polly : "that's sweet but why aren't you with her yet then?"

Jason : "because she plays the hard-to-get game , but i like it , the more she says no , the more i want her , and now if you excuse me i have some work to do"

Jason left the house , carter was sitting on blanket and she was reading the book he was more and more closer to her until he was standing in front of her he looked at the blanket and he saw a polaroid of Polly and Anthony they were clearly making out and he realized that Polly probably truly loved someone else , but in the moment Carter saw him she put the book down and hid polaroid away ,she wore a hat because it was sunny and she hated sun but she had a headband on the blanket too 

Jason : "Do you need company?"

Carter : "Okay" 

Jason offered Carter his hand she took it and they left the gates of the house , they were at the only bridge between Greendale and Riverdale 

Carter : "Why did you take me here? " 

Jason : "this bridge has a legend"

Carter : "i know" 

Jason : "and do you mind if i tell you the legend?"

Carter : "if you want to" 

Jason : "the bridge brought two star-crossed lovers together who seemed destined to be together , they were looking for each other but never found each other , because the girl was living in Greendale and the boy stayed in Riverdale because of his sick dad ,and then one night the stars on the sky brought them to the bridge where they met up again , and they kept meeting each other until the girl died" 

Carter : "i don't believe it" 

Jason :"there must be something you believe in"

Carter : "No , i lost hope a long time ago but before that i lost my innocence even sooner  , the girl in me died a long time ago"

Jason and Carter were staring at each other for some time and they were leaning to kiss , but in that moment Carter started running 

Carter : "come on run with me , just like the old times!" 

Jason : "expect now i am gonna catch you!"

Carter : "Try it" she started to run again and he chased after her as just as when they were little kids , Jason brought Carter on the blanket but she was on his back 

Jason :" au revoir" 

She was sitting on the blanket as she smiled at him , he leaned down to kiss her gently but then they just kissed but she pulled him away 

Jason :"I am sorry" 

Carter : "I am sorry too" 

Jason :" l'm not sorry! l don't take it back."

Carter : " i thought we were just going to be friends!"

Jason : "I can't handle it , I can't keep my feelings bottled up like you , can you honestly tell me that you feel nothing for me? "

Carter : "I have feelings for you"

Jason :"then what's wrong"

Carter : "We've had this discussion before , don't make repeat it , and the ball is tonight so you finally hvae what you wanted the whole time "

Jason : "lt's not like you have a husband. Unless you're married to Jesus"

Carter : "that's not fair , Jason"

Jason : "why someone like me can't be with someone like you?"

Carter: "you want to know why?"

Jason : "yes i want to know why "

Carter : "i don't trust you enough , and i don't trust myself when i am near you , i don't know who i am anymore"

she stood up and left , he knew she was right in everything but still he hasn't given up on her not when tonight , they will be attending the debutante ball.
