Jason's surprise party

Mostly cheerleaders of the riverdale high were invited on these kinds of parties , you have uniform you attend but carter was avoiding these parties she rather stayed home reading book or would be working at pop's the whole night because she was different , but now it wasn't just some after game after party it was Jason's comeback to town after his three months work with Carter's father in New York , Carter's father had been initiating Jason into the law and business around the wine , not in the meaning he that purposely threatead Carter , he was just getting him ready for the moment when Jason and Carter will be partners because of ties of their families , even though Blossoms/Petersons had ongoing feud and the Allcotts were included because they felt like they were left out. 

Cheryl had been organizing this thing for some time , Carter , Megan , Lily were her closet friends they always helped her with the list , music and so on ,but carter always felt like the night always belonged to Cheryl , she was in Carter's eyes one hundred percent times betterin the limelight than her anyways that's why she choosed to stand in background or in the crowd she hated to be the center of the attention anyway , Cheryl's parents had gone away because of their business – Mrs Blossom disapproved of Cheryl's parties and always managed to be hundreds of miles away when they took place.

How he had managed to get the permission for a whole term out of school was a mystery to her , but she  was excited to see him again - although she never admitted publicly (she was A peterson she did not need reason to talk about her feelings anyway) she probably even liked him (he was the bulldog , A Blossom , she was a cheerleader and activist and a Peterson one would say a Perfect couple the perfect match everything in their lives was lined and planned , and both are good looking .. ) but she never admitted it not even to herself.  the fact that she hadn't seen him for three months was killing killing her inside ... Holding the Party on the day of Jason's return to welcome him home had been Cheryl's idea – she had always been melodramatic – and we had spent the day decorating the house and planning the surprise. Anthony and Cheryyl were going to pick him up from the train station while all of us waited with the rest of our school-year at Thornhill.

She was holding a cup with a beer and talked to Kevin and Lily , she turned around , and there he was , she saw climbing him out of Anthony's car from the window , and her feelings flooded back like a tidal. but then she turned back and saw Archie Andrews 

Lily : "look who's over there , the sweet and cute Archie Andrews" she giggled 

Lily : "but where is jughead? they are always coming together" 

Carter : "Jughead doesn't do parties , he only cames to my brithday parties but it's because i force him"

Kevin : "he's just not into that stuff" 

Lily : "Oh" 

Kevin and Lily were engaged in some conversation meanwhile Carter didn't even pay attention to them anymore their voices sounded as if they were miles away , she was staring at the window again as jason was getting closer to the house , she could see him properly in the porch-lightand she was suprised by how much his appearance had changed since the end of the may when went away with her Dad. It seemed that puberty descended upon him like an angel. He was definitely taller (like 6"1 ? now) his shoulders were broader also , and his previously -lanky frame was now more muscular , she could see his arms straining against the fabric of his t-shirt, she realized that the 4 year old boy she remembers had died a long time ago, when they were at the door she grabbed Kevin and Lily somewhere away from the window. she grabbed them and took them somewhere else because she knew she wouldn't last and would touch his face. 

  "SURPRISE!" The word echoed around Carter , Kevin and Lily  as everyone jumped out from their hiding place. Ironically, Jason didn't look surprised in the least, he knew Cheryl well-enough to expect a party on his return home. He laughed infectiously as he spun around, rolling his eyes at Cheryl before his gaze fell upon her standing on the porch steps. The people around us had erupted into chatter and melted into the background, music began blaring from somewhere and disco-lights flashed from inside. Beaming, Jason bounded up the steps and greeted her at the top as he usually did by wrapping his strong arms around her when he pulled away he reached up and ran his long fingers down the side of her.
