A/N: So I think I have an idea for the rest of the book. I don't think it will be a series, but I'll update you guys when I know for sure.
Anyways, I wanted to thank you guys again for reading and voting! However, I'd like to hear more feedback, so please leave comments!
Here's Chapter Eighteen

I pushed back from Declan and jumped off the top stair, shifting right before I landed on the ground. My beloved laughed before running down to me. He ran his hand through my fur, scratching behind my ears. My wolf purred and pushed herself closer into him, knocking him over. She licked his face, then took off running for the woods.
There was laughter behind me and the sound of running. I suddenly felt him jump on my back, intending to tackle me, but I was strong. Despite the extra weight, my wolf didn't stumble and kept running, wanting to show her beloved how fast she was.
My paws picked up speed and everything became a blur, but when focused in front of me, I could make out every little detail. Declan's hands gripped onto the fur on either sides of my neck, and his legs gripped my sides. That cold tingling sensation spread over my body, easing my muscles, and I slowed as we approached the lake.
Taking a whiff, I came to an abrupt halt. That scent, it hurts my nose and makes me tired. I collapse once Declan has gotten off of me, my paws over my nose and whimpers escaping my mouth.
"Legna? Little wolf, what's wrong?" He crouched in front of me, concern taking over his features. I shifted back and crawled so that I was pressed to his chest.
"There's a scent that hurts my nose. It's by the lake."
He stood up, helping me up too, and walked us towards the edge of the forest. A group of men stood at the waterline, guns and other hunting tools in their hands. Declan stepped out and they all turned. I felt uneasy and tried to turn back, but Declan prevented me.
"Hello, what are you hunters doing all the way out here? This is private property. Please get off our land."
"Of course, sorry to have bothered you." They started walking towards us and glared down at me. "Oh wait, no we're not. If you want us to leave, we need her."
Declan pushed me behind him, causing me to face the woods as I stumbled. "Never."
There was a glint in the trees and I narrowed my eyes.
"Fine then, we'll do this the hard way."
My eyes widened as I recognized the barrel of a gun poking out from the branches. A gunshot rang out and Declan howled in pain. I fell to my knees at his side and stared down at him as he groaned, holding his shoulder. My fangs lengthened and I jumped up to face the hunters.
"You're dead."
"Not quite, Princess."
I felt a prick in the side of my neck and I spun to see one of the guys behind me holding an empty syringe. Oh, not fair.
"Cheaters." I hissed right before I passed out.

I opened my eyes to see that I was in a cell. Slowly, feeling came back to me and I felt that I was chained down, naked, atop a cold table. The burning in my wrists let me know that it was pyrite that was laced into the metal of the cuffs.
