I pushed Serendipity away from me and dodged her attempts to grab me again. As I turned to jump down from the table, she jumped onto my back, nuzzling her face into my neck. I took in all the shocked looks around the pub and sighed, jumping down from the table.
"Legna!"
I flinched, but smiled as I turned to face my mate. "Hello Camdyn. What are you doing here?"
"You know exactly why I'm here! How could you two just leave without letting anyone know?"
I opened my mouth to speak but Serendipity cut me off by getting off my back and flirting with my brother.
"Hey there mate! Come here often?" She giggled and hiccuped. I sent an apologetic look to Caleb when his angry eyes lifted to mine accusingly.
"Are you drunk?"
"No, Legna would never let that happen! Right baby?" She turned to me and grinned, batting her lashes at me.
"Sorry, I don't swing your way. And you're drunk since you kept pushing me away when I tried to stop you."
"Oh yeah!"
"You're gonna pay for this Legna."
"It's not my fault Caleb!"
"So when we walked in, it wasn't you two on the table? It wasn't you grabbing her shirt and kissing her?"
"That's not what happened! She was taking her shirt off and I jumped up to stop her! Then she kissed me!"
Caleb glared at me while he started pulling his drunken mate away. She laughed then spun out of his hold and fell onto me. I steadied her and froze when I felt her lips on my neck. The boys both glared at me and I gawked at them. They still think I'm the one to blame for her actions!
Giggling, Serendipity let go of me and turned to the boys. "Lighten up! I'm just pulling your leg. It's a joke."
Caleb narrowed his eyes on her and grabbed her forearm, dragging her out of the pub. I planted my fists on my hips and turned to my mate. He towered over me, his eyes showing his struggle with his wolf. The best thing would've been lowering my head in submission, but did I? Nope.
"I am your Alpha, Legna. You will submit to me."
"I'm not a weak little girl! In fact, I'm more powerful than you! So you better submit to me!"
He gripped my hand and towed me outside to his waiting car, growling the whole way. I was shoved into the passenger seat, then buckled in before he got into the driver'a seat. He peeled away from the curb and stomped down on the accelerator in his rush to get home.
"Camdyn! Slow down!" He pushed the car faster and whipped around a corner. I was gripped with fear and started sobbing, then grabbed his arm and pleaded with him. "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry! Please, just slow down. Camdyn!"
He jerked to a stop, throwing his hand out to catch my head before it crashed against the dashboard. I was breathing heavily and my eyes were wide. Looking around, I noticed we were back at the pack house. He took a deep breath and turned to face me.
My hand flew out and connected sharply with his face. His head snapped to the side and I scrambled out of the car, then stormed up to the house and threw the front door open. I had made it to nearly five feet from my room when I was slammed against a wall and pinned in place by my mate.
"How dare you slap me?"
"How could you drive so recklessly? Did you forget what brought me onto your lands? Don't you think that driving scares me now? I was fine when Serendipity was driving because she was being careful! You weren't!"
