A second shower later, I was curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee. Alastor was taking a turn in the shower, and that gave me time to puzzle over our situation.
I had first kissed him when we were both drunk off our asses and then slept in his apartment. And tonight I had kissed him while covered in blood next to a dead body. Come to think of it, a dead body was how we met. I sipped my coffee, thinking about the body count we had piling up.
But dead bodies aside, where did this leave him and I?
"How are you feeling?" Alastor's voice shook me from my thoughts. I looked up from my cup to see a half naked demon standing in the doorway of my bathroom in nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. Underneath the red suit, the boy was packing a lean, muscular body. I cocked my head to the side, admiring his six pack.
"I'll take that as you feeling better." He smirked. I sipped my coffee and looked away, blushing. Alastor came over and sat down next to me. I moved over to give him room, but he pulled me close to him, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. I thought about pushing his arm off, but decided not to. This was probably the most normal thing we had ever done.
"No more missions for a few nights, please." I said, leaning my head against his shoulder, "My head can't take any more knocks."
Alastor chuckled, "Deal."
We lapsed into silence for a few moments, sitting there snuggled together. After a while, he turned to look at me.
"Well, my dear," His psychotic smile broke out across face, "Since we won't be slaughtering any deviants for the next few days, might I take you out for breakfast in the morning?"
I took a sip of my coffee before replying, "So you want to go from murder to...pancakes?"
Alastor broke out in laughter, "Why, yes. I guess you could look at it that way." I smiled into my cup. These few murder free days were bound to be interesting.
