9. The Surprise

Tyson allowed me to sleep in the next day. It was Saturday-our day off-so I didn't expect him to do otherwise. When I awoke, I was alone.

"Tyson," I called, but got no response. "Tyson, you here?"

I slid off the bed and wandered into the main room, looking around. But with one glance around there was no doubt in my mind that I was alone. As I headed for the kitchen, feeling hungry, I glanced out the window...then found myself drifting over to it and staring.

Hollywood looked so cool, even in the daytime. The nightlife in my opinion seemed cooler, but it was still nice. From the level this room was on, you could see a lot. It was all so amazing, I just stood there for a long time, fascinated. I finally zoned out when I heard my stomach growl.

"Oh, right," I mumbled to myself, heading back to the kitchen. When I found a bottle of water and a granola bar to snack on, I sat at the table and noticed a note on it.

I picked it up and realized it was form Tyson. I smiled, thinking it nice of him to leave one. It said:

Hey, Melody,

Just out running some errands for the weekend. I shouldn't be gone long. Grab whatever you want to eat, unless you want to go out to breakfast. You decide. See you later.

Xoxxx ~ Tyson 

I smiled at the smiley face and how he gave me more kisses than hugs. Then I started snacking on my make-do breakfast, reading over the note again and again, noting in my mind that I was always going to keep this. I knew that it wasn't a love note, but it was a note left for only me from my love.

When Tyson got back, he immediately strode over to me and gave me a kiss and a hug, then he looked down at the table.

"Where's the note?" he asked.

I pulled it out from my back pocket and handed it to him. He quickly glanced down at the writing, then handed it back to me, giving me three more kisses.

"Just needed to do those for real," he explained.

I giggled.

"Have you decided what you wanted to do today?"

I shrugged. "Whatever. I don't care."

"Okay...I guess I need to pick something-wait...I know." He grinned.

"What are you thinking of?" I asked suspiciously.

"You'll see." He walked into the bedroom and came out a minute later with a pair of sleeping blindfolds. "Put this on."

"Can I do that after we get out of the hotel?"

"Who says we're leaving?"

I could tell he was lying, and I raised an eyebrow. "What are you thinking of?" I repeated.

He held out the blindfold for me.

I sighed and took it. "I'm not putting this on until we're in the elevator."

He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Put it on when we get in the car."

"I can do that...but I need to change." I rushed into the bedroom and opened my suitcase. I searched through it until I found some clothes that I thought were suitable for whatever it was that we were going to do. After I put on my jeans and tank top-playing it safe-I grabbed my hoodie-you never know-and went back to Tyson.
