Sorry if some of you think it's been a while. School's annoying. Nuff said. hahaha

So this is a pretty long chapter, and I'm sorry. I didn't realize :)

10. Still Cautious

"Hurry up with the touchups!" Pierce shouted.

I was already done with hair and makeup and wardrobe, so all I had to do was wait. Tyson stood there beside me, even though he wasn't in the part of the scene we were doing-only his voice on my cell phone, and that audio was going to be added later. The actual visual of him was going to be filmed later. Two days later, but hey, it was Tyson. I wasn't going to protest.

"Good morning, Melody," Aiden said as he walked over.

"Is everyone still nervous for me?" I asked him, and the moment I said it, I realized that was why Tyson was here.

Overprotective doofus.

Aiden nodded seriously. "Of course. You're our main girl. We can't let you get hurt."

"Right," Tyson said. He stared levelly at Aiden, and when they broke eye contact, it looked like they had made some sort of truce.

Men.

"Places, Melody," Pierce warned from behind me.

"Yes, sir," I replied, stepping into the shrubs and crouching down so I was looking into a window at eye level.

"Dixon," Pierce said. "Let's go."

I took a quick look at Tyson, and he had his fists clenched, but thankfully had managed to keep a straight face. I looked back into the window, watching and waiting until Dixon was in place.

"Alright!" Pierce shouted. "Action!"

I stared into the window curiously, shifting my stance a few times as though I were uncomfortable, which I actually was. I watched as Dixon shouted angrily into a phone, and then slammed it down, causing me to jump. Then he stormed out of the house, locking the door behind him.

I tiptoed over to the front door, still crouched down for sneaky purposes, and searched for the hide-a-key. Once I found it in one of the potted plants, I unlocked the door and stepped inside the house.

The criminal's house.

I grabbed my flashlight and turned the beam of light on, making sure to have the front door closed before doing so. Then I began searching through his house for anything I could use as evidence against Dixon's character. I went through all of the drawers on the first floor, then went up the stairs to find his room.

I looked in the bedside table first, dropping to my knees. I shifted through all of the small things that were in there, then came across a manila envelope. Curious, I pulled it out and opened it. I removed some photographs from it and put the envelope down. Holding the flashlight in my mouth, I looked at the pictures.

They were of Dixon-well, really his character-and Sienna. They were smiling like a happy couple. I pretended to be disgusted-Sienna was supposed to be the same age as me, and Dixon's character, was, well, way older. But the two of them were only in the first third. The second third was of Dixon's character and Jackie.

My eyes widened-Jackie was still alive, of course she had been attacked, but at that point in time she was still breathing. So my thoughts immediately went to the idea that Dixon wanted the girls dead because of a perfect relationship gone bad. It was a good motive. She could be the next murder victim. Just as I flipped through the photos to see Dixon with another girl, the front door opened. Surprised, I dropped the photos and never got a good look at the third girl.
