IT'S BEEN A FEW WEEKS SINCE the incident that happened unfolded. It was now early fall, and I hadn't willingly spoken to Sweet Pea in 4 weeks, but he was still persistent.
Kingsley woke me up as usual with his annoying ass before I threw a pillow at him to leave me alone. I wasn't tryna go to school, yet I'd go, which worked out in my favor, I guess, because I got a call from my dad.
Quickly I answered the phone, "Hi Papa" I smiled feeling happy to talk to him. He's always so busy. "Hi Novi, I miss you." Hearing his voice on the other line made my eyes swell up with tears. I missed being home, not this shitty ass place.
"I miss you too. How's Noel and Nella?"
"They're doing good but the girls miss you a lot. We all do."
I wanted to cry and tell him about everything that happened and that I wanted to come home but I bit my lip trying to gain my composure. "I'll try to come visit soon," I said, but it came out as a whisper
"Well, that's kinda why I was calling. We need you guys to come up here and get some shipments to take back, our regular guys got caught stealing so uh..lets just say they aren't with us anymore" My dad stated causing a shiver to run down my spine. My dad was very scary, he's not someone you want to make upset.
"They will not be missed" I laughed lightly as he chuckled, "When do you need us to come up there?"
"Preferably now, but I won't rush you." Now I know I said my dad was scary, but that's only to other people, to my sister and me; he was very nice and never yelled at us.
"Okay, Papa, I'll let the boys know."
"Thank you, Darling; I'll see you soon, yeah?"
"Yes. See you soon."
"I love you. Call if you need anything."
"Okay, papa, I love you too."
The phone call ended, and I texted Dre to get the cars ready because we were going to New York, which was a 10-hour drive from here to there. I decided to take a quick shower then picked out boxers that i bought for myself because why do men have more comfortable underwear than us, a sports bra, black joggers, and baby t.
