Dear Ella,
I didn't want to bother you so I stayed on the couch
I doubted you'd want me to sleep in the same bed and I wanted to respect your privacy
But that wasn't how it worked out
When I went to check up on you, you were having a nightmare
I still wonder what they're about, but I know you'll tell me when the time is right
I woke you up and when I went to leave the room, you grabbed my hand and asked me to stay
I got in the bed with you and held you until you fell asleep
You look so beautiful with the soft light
I wish this moment never ended, but I knew it had to at some point
There was a knock at the door and Maria, my maid, opened it
She called me down and I yelled down I was busy
And then I heard her shrill voice
