12. Catching feelings

Y/n's POV

Me and Donghyuk sat in quiet while we waited for Mark to arrive. The whole time we waited I wondered why Donghyuk waited with me. I mean he's a very sweet guy and all, but he is suspiciously too sweet.

I was scrolling through my phone when I noticed Donghyuk was staring at me. I looked up and asked "Yes?"

"Uhh, y/n... I have a question. I heard about the fight that happened at the restaurant between Mino and Nancy.... and a rumor that-" I had to cut him off before he finished his sentence.

"Don't worry! The rumors aren't true! Me and Youngsu just friends!" He looked happy, but confused at the same time.

"Oh okay! I actually kind of believe what Mino said for a second! I'm sorry. I should've known you weren't like that."He said seriously.

"Actually, me and Youngsu used to date. We're just friends now." I say while scratching my neck, and breaking eye contact.

"Oh he must've been lucky- I mean..." He quickly closed him mouth in embarrassment but I couldn't really make out what he said. "Huh?" I said. "Nothing." He said while blushing.

"So are you and Mark dating then?" Oh my lord!

I would never date him, he's ... something else.

"Oh nono!" I say defensively.

He started blushing. "Oh my god! I'm sorry for the awkward question." He said while looking down.

Haha, why is he so tense? I think it's kinda cute.

Our conversation went on for about 5 mins. Where the hell is Mark?! I'm gonna kill him for making me wait so long!

Suddenly I saw Donghyuk's friends come and sit at my table.

Jinhwan: "Oh hey y/n!" He said with a huge smile.
Yunhyeong: "Y/n we noticed that you were alone, want some food we bought? We bought extra!" Wow his friends are really nice.

Me: "Yeah, I came with Mark. I've been waiting for him for awhile now, I think I should go check." As I got up, someone grabbed my wrist, It was Donghyuk.

Donghyuk: "No, don't go. It's getting dark and it's dangerous to be alone." He said worriedly. I sat back down. "Fine. But what if something happened to Mark?"

Junhoe: "How about you eat with us first, then we help you look for Mark. "O-okay." I said. I really hope nothing happened to Mark.

We ate for about 20 mins. It was nice.

They asked me questions about myself, and got to know more about me, and I got to know more about them too.

I noticed that the amusement park seemed quite empty. That meant that it was almost closing time.

Worker: "We are closing up soon, please start wrapping up what you're doing." Mark, where are you?!? How could he leave me alone!

Donghyuk: "Y/n, I think we should just take you home, there's no point in looking for Mark, almost everyone left already." At first I was worried, now I feel like I've been stood up.

Me: "I'll text him, let's just go home." I say while frowning.

The car ride was quiet and calm. Almost everyone was asleep.

I sat in the front next to Jinhwan who drove. I told them which apartment building I lived in and found out they live in the building next to mine! Crazy!

Donghyuk: "Since you live in the apartment next to us, we should walk to school together!" He said happily.

"That would be great!" I said.

I thanked them for the ride and went out. And Donghyuk got out with me.

"Let me walk you inside." I thought that was actually pretty nice of him.
"Okay."

The whole walk was silent. Until we got to my door.

"Will you be okay? Should I speak to Mark for abandoning you? Do you need me to come in?" Wow he sure does like to ask a lot of questions.

"Uhh, nono I'll be fine. Thanks for being so nice today." I didn't know how to respond after so many questions.

"Uhh... no problem, goodnight." He quickly walked away while blushing. Donghyuk is one strange person.

I went in and threw myself on the bed and was going to fall asleep, WAIT, MARK! I need to text him.

To: Mark
Me: "Hey Mark, are you okay? What happened at the amusement park?? You left me alone!"

.......

I waited an hour before falling asleep. He never replied.

The next day

I decided to go to the restaurant today and go back to work since my arm is better.

As I entered, I tried to look for Mark, but Suho said he never clocked in. Weird.

I was actually pretty worried for Mark, he never replied to me. But at the same time, I was pretty mad. He left me alone!

My shift felt like forever, I don't really have friends at this job. I actually noticed a new worker who had taken Mino's spot.

It was a guy, quite a handsome guy actually. I waited till lunch break to introduce myself.

He was sitting alone at a booth so I decided to go sit with him.

"Hi, my name is-" He cut me off.

"Hi- I already know your name. My name is Mingyu." He smiled.

His smile, kind of seemed like a forced one, like he didn't like me.

"Oh, nice to meet you." I smile back.

Mentally, I felt very awkward, like he didn't enjoy my presence.

We had lunch together and had a small conversation. I left quickly though. He didn't seem fond of me.

Mark's POV

I fell asleep at Wendy's house. After she dragged me away from the food court at the amusement park, her family wouldn't let me go.

Ever since I began talking with Wendy back in Canada, my family would always tease me about how much Wendy likes me. I never thought she liked me because she never contacted me after I left Canada for Korea.

Now that she's here, she won't leave me alone!

Last night they told me to come to their mansion they recently bought in Korea, I couldn't say no because they had already told my parents that I'm spending the night with them.

When we got to their Mansion, we had dinner. Wendy would not keep her hands to herself.

She kept hugging me, holding my hand, etc. I felt uncomfortable because it's been awhile since we've spoken. Plus, I think I've lost my feelings for Wendy. I have feelings for y/n now.
