13. Arranged marriage?

It was the next day and I was about to leave Wendy's house, since I had to get to work, when all of a sudden, I heard the doorbell ring.

Wendy ran to the door and ... IT WAS MY PARENTS! She screamed in joy and jumped up and down.

Why are they here?!

Wendy: "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Lee! I'm so happy to see you guys again! Please, come in!" I stood there awkwardly.

Mark's Mom: "Hi sweetheart! Great to see you!" They hugged and sat at the dining table. I just walked away to the living room and watched tv. I just wanted to go home and give
y/n an explanation. "Mark, sweetie, come join us at the table." Ugh... "fine.."

Wendy: "Mark, what's wrong?" She's says while I look down at the table.

"Nothing" I say coldly.

That's when Wendy's parents came to join us at the table. While Wendy was getting ready for breakfast.

My parents and her parents hugged and all that stuff.

15 mins later everyone sat down for lunch. I sat there quietly and all of a sudden I heard the word "marriage" pop up.

I began choking on my food while Wendy patted my back.

Wendy's mom: "Mark, sweetie. What's wrong? I thought you and Wendy have always wanted to be in an arranged marriage before? You want Wendy to be happy right?" I started sweating. I didn't know what to say.

"I... uh.... I don't want to get married! If the feelings aren't mutual, we're not getting married!" I shouted.

Mark's dad: "How could you say that?! After everything the Shon family has done for you!" Wow my dad was furious.

Wendy: "Mark, please! I really want to be with you! I'm sorry for not contacting you when you left, but I still love you!" Wendy whined.

"It doesn't matter to me anymore.. just do whatever." I walked away to the guest bedroom and slammed the door.

The next day at school

Y/n's POV

I'm walking down the hall to the cafeteria and was thinking to myself.

I haven't seen Mark ever since me and him went to the amusement park. He hasn't shown up to work, texted me, nothing.

It's not that I'm mad, I'm actually pretty worried.

(CRASH)

Ouch! I was too busy thinking to myself that I accidentally bumped into someone and fell.

???: "Watch the hell where you're going or we'll have problems." He said coldly. I looked up to see that it was Mingyu, the new worker at the restaurant. He didn't even help me up and just walked away. What the hell is his problem.

Jeez. Why does he have to be so mean?

I finally made it to the cafeteria and scanned the room for Mark. He was no where to be seen.

But, I suddenly saw Donghyuk waving at me. He motioned for me to sit with them. So I thought why not and sat with them.

Everyone: "Hi y/n!"

Donghyuk: "How are you!?"

Me: "Hi guys! I'm good!" Everyone smiled at me.

Yunhyeong: "We haven't seen Mark lately, have you seen him? Did you contact him after the amusement park?"

Me: "Well actually, no. I'm pretty worried, I think something happened to him."

Hanbin: "Actually, y/n, I think Mark is just fine. I heard that... Mark has a thing with Wendy. I heard from some other students who saw them leave the fair together." He said while looking down.

"Wait. Mark... has a girlfriend?"

Chanwoo: "yea.."

"Ohh... he never told me..." I said.

Fast forward to the end of the day

Mark ended up not coming to school today. I have no idea where he lives either.

"Don't worry, just go to work and find Mark later, Y/n." I thought to myself.

As I was approaching the restaurant, I looked through the big window and saw Donghyuk and the guys eating.

When I entered, I tried to wave to them, but suddenly someone bumped into me, dropping food everywhere.
