In another time

First sit down

It was a busy day in the store and a lot of customers are coming in since its morning, thank goodness, Aya came in to tag Yumi in her deployment so that she can have a talk with her new trainee, Kei.

"Thanks Aya, I will just have a quick introduction with him so I can go back and help." Yumi said while she was looking for the notes to give Kei.

"Take your time dear, we can handle the shift." Aya smiled and gave Yumi other workbooks.

Yumi walked towards Kei who looked like he was spacing out, she let out a sigh and smiled.

"Hi, uhmmm so I am just here for a quick introduction and to give you notes to copy, you'll need them for your training."

Kei was a bit startled, but when he turned around, he gave a huge grin.

"Alright. I am looking forward to it, Thank you."

Yumi sat down infront of him and placed the workbooks on the table.

"So where do we start? Maybe you can introduce yourself first and then I can go after you." Yumi instructed him.

"Eh? What do I say?"

He had a long pause before he continued

"Uhmm I am Inoo Kei, friends call me Kei, I am originally a tourism student, but I really wanted to work in a coffee shop thats why I applied here. Gladly I got accepted. I am usually a cheerful person, at least thats what ive heard from my friends,haha! I think I can work well with others and I am excited to learn from you." He looked embarrassed but he tried to smile while speaking.

Yumi was surprised that he said he was cheerful because for her, he always looked sleepy.

"Thats good to hear, so I was assigned to train you and I hope we can easily get along. I am Sasaki Yumi, I've been working here for almost 2 years already, you can ask me anything work related.."

She was looking straight to his droopy eyes, it felt awkward for her since he was his first male trainee, but he was all smiles so she just smiled back.

"Lets now start with your-"

Kei cut her off.

"Sorry, but what should I call you again? senpai?"

"We call each other here by the first names, you can call me yumi, can we start now?" She looked serious, Kei just smiled and nodded.

Yumi instructed him to copy and write down notes from the work books, she was explaining the recipes, the rules, and all the things he needed to memorize. She was putting marks on the pages so he wouldnt have a hard time looking for it.

Yumi is a fun person but is very serious when it comes to working.

Kei on the other hand was staring at her closely and observing the way she talks and how she is so gentle and very passionate.

but yumi noticed that he was looking at her and he seemed to be spacing out again, "Hey are you listening? You need to study all these. please pay attention." She sounded a bit annoyed.

Kei answered immediately "Oh sorry, yes, I got it. you can count on me."

"Thats good, I need to go back in the floor and help them, but dont worry, I will check you from time to time so I can see your progress." she assured him and gave him a gentle smile.

"Thank you, yumi."

-Kei's POV-

Wow, she is beautiful, and she looks so passionate, I hope to get to know her more, I want to impress her.

I wonder if she has a boyfriend? Or is it too early to think about that? What am I thinking? I am here to work, I cant be distracted this early but she really looks interesting, she instantly caught my attention.

-Yumi's POV-

That was a good start, at least he sounds interested in learning, but I wonder why he kept on staring at me.

It feels awkward to be stared like that, his droopy eyes are so attractive & its hard to look straight.

He was actually really cute, but no, I cannot be thinking about that, he is my trainee.
