Gentleman

Its been 2 weeks when Kei started his training in the coffee shop, he enjoys working there but its hard to fully give his concentration in the training when he is obviously crushing on his trainer, he can't stop liking her, she motivates him to always do better but she always seems to avoid his little ways to get to know her more personally.

-Yumi's POV-

Another busy weekend faces me in the shop, after this week, I will need some pamper time.

I was about to ride the bus when I heard someone shout.

"Senpai!"

I turned around and saw Kei running towards my direction.

"Wait for me!" Kei was trying to catch his breath but when he faced me, he flashed a huge grin on his face.

"Good Morning senpai!" He shouted.

"Shhh! you're so loud." I roll my eyes.

He laughed and ignored me. We rode the bus and sat together.

-Kei's POV-

We were sitting close to each other and I could feel my heart racing.

Maybe because I ran my way to the bus stop, but really, its because I finally catched up with her.

"Why do you always go to work so early? I can never catch up with you."

I tried starting a conversation but she was spacing out in the window.

"Senpai." I poked her arms.

"Mmm?"

"I just asked you a question, didnt you hear? "

"Eh? What is it? Sorry I was thinking about the weekends." She looked at me directly and I cant stop staring at her eyes.

"Why? Whats with the weekends? You have plans?"

"Nothing really, I just thought of pampering myself & got a little bit excited" she giggled and my eyes are still affixiated on hers.

She must have noticed because she looked away.

"You should do that. You work hard."

I saw her smile gently and I just couldnt stop the words from coming out my mouth.

"Maybe I can join you?" I chuckled nervously.

She looked at me and rolled her eyes.

"Excuse me but its supposed to be a 'me time' weekend." She brushed me off

"Ah, i just got rejected by senpai." I covered my face with both of my hands.

She laughed and i couldnt resist to take a peak of her smiling face.

"I was just joking, but really, you should pamper yourself once in a while senpai."

-Yumi's POV-

We reached our destination and a lot of people were going down the bus. It was really crowded and some people were pushing from behind.

It was a bit uncomfortable since Kei and I are inches away from each other, but his tall structure made me feel safe.

he went down first and offered his hand to assist me.

He was such a gentleman and I felt my heart fluttered a little.

And even after the bus left, he was still holding my hands. It felt awkward so I tried removing it by pretending that I have to look at my bag.

"Sorry senpai, I just thought you needed help since I know you're clumsy." Here he goes with his cheeky remarks again.

"Hmmm I am not! And also, dont just go holding my hands like that, we are near the shop someone might see that."

"Right. Sorry."

For a second, he looked really sad.

"hey, I really dont want them to know that we went together. Can we just pretend the we saw each other on the street?"

"Got it." He answerd without looking at me.

I felt bad that I keep on asking him to tell secrets from our workmates, but I know it will spark issues in the store and also, I dont want them to know that I am being extra close with my trainee, after all, it isnt really allowed.
