In another time

Jealous?

-Yumi's POV-

I left Kei outside and I entered the store first, as much as I am feeling guilty I tried to be cheerful as I greet everyone while flashing a fake smile.

"Good Morning." Im trying not to make eye contact with anyone.

I looked around and everything looks pretty normal.

But before I can go inside the backroom, Kei entered, he has this droopy eyes that really stands out, and I cant seem to look away. The sun was directly shining on him as he entered and he looks like an angel walking towards my direction.

Wait, what am i actually saying?

I saw him greeting everyone with a huge smile on his face, and I heard some of the baristas teased him on how he came early today.

I need to focus, I went inside the office to find ken having his break.

"Hi Ken, how are u doin?"

"Oh yumi! Hey, i feel like i havent seen you."

" Yeah, our schedules are the total opposite."

"How's the trainee doin?"

"Huh? He's okay i think. Why do you ask?" I felt a little heat forming up my face.

"eh? of course you're his trainer."

"Ah, right, sorry. Yeah, he is doing well.. I guess." I answered softly while lookin down.

-Kei's POV-

I entered the backroom and saw yumi putting on her apron, to be honest I really dont know how to approach her since I feel like it troubles her when I come close...

But since I have no choice, I will just try to act normal. I need to control myself around her after all..

She walked passed me and I cant really look into  her eyes, so i just gently bowed and proceeded to get ready for my shift.

-Yumi's POV-

Yosh, lets start this. Since I finished teaching him in the cold beverage station, its time to introduce him in  the bar area.

Our training is doing smoothly but I can really feel the awkwardness between us. It looks like he is trying to avoid me since all he does is politely smile and nod. He usually is very cheerful but today, he looked so serious.

"Its time for our 1 hour break." I poked his arms and smiled.

He smiled back and excused himself. I watched him walk away and I tried to not show any emotions..

I saw him eating while having a chat with aya, rian, ken and mika..

He looks like he is having fun, he's laughing a lot and its so different when he was around me.

What caught my attention was mika who was getting a bit closer than usual with him, I mean physically. She was sitting beside him and I saw her grabbing his arms a few times and it seems like it doesnt bother him at all.

Kei looked my way and our eyes met for a second, I tried to avoid him by rushing out, but before the door even closed, I felt someone gently touching my back.

"Senpai."

"Hmm?"

I turned around and saw Kei behind me. His eyes were staring at me with intent but he looks so sad or its just his big droopy eyes?

He kept on staring and no one utters a word. I tried breakin the ice.

"What is it? Go back inside. It looks fun there." I gave him a smirk.

"We were just chatting. Nothing fun about that."

"But I havent seen you laugh like that earlier." I try not to meet his eyes.

"I tried to be serious and I dont want to trouble you"

"No, its because you were trying avoiding me, right?"

"I am sorry."

"Go back inside, mika might miss holding on to your arms" I rolled my eyes and then he suddenly held my wrist tightly.

"Hmm senpai? you're jealous?"

Kei gave out a huge grin that looked annoying.
