author's note: It came out pretty short, I didn't want to pack too many events into the day.
When we arrived and were parked, I was pulled out of the car. I didn't struggle, I didn't scream, I simply went along as I was dragged up the stairs and into my own room. There I was pushed to the bed where my head hit the edge of the bed, it gave me a headache.
I looked up to the supervisor who was glaring at me, I suspected to be punished but he only turned away.
"You're punishment will be decided after a day of solitude." The door shut and I was left sitting on the floor. This had never happened to me before, I was simply confused. I was soon to understand what would truly happen to me.
In my first moments I simply sat there, unsure of what to do, dumbfounded. Although, it didn't last very long. Eventually I felt several needles in my neck and my world began to spin and spin as I gradually collapsed.
Instead of encountering the constant dreams that I experienced, it was as though I had been placed in a dark abyss. I simply stood, unsure of what to do.
Suddenly a figure appeared in the distance, it looked a lot like me. I watched as it walked towards, he, or I, stopped about a foot away from me. His, or my face warped into a snide grin, disturbing to the eyes.
"Number 99, how've you been lately?" He paused I waited, and he continued. "Do you know why you're here?" I shook my head in simple refusal. "Well, we're gonna have a good time together." This sent a shiver down my spine,I struggled to step backwards, but this did nothing. "Rio, we're gonna bring back everything that you tried oh so hard to hide." At this I was skeptical until I felt a needle in the back of my neck.
It seemed as though whatever he had put in me, brought me back to my dreams. I was in the bed, where I had always started. He appeared once again with his sick grin, saying nothing. I heard a scream and a something big fall, quickly without control my body moved on its own and I found the two people dead blood dying the white sheets red. I fell and soon people surrounded me, I relented, using my powers desperately controlling one after another but they just kept on coming. Soon enough I heard my own laughs as my world once again blurred and I found myself in my empty room. I felt the tears fall down my face and the suffocating feeling in my throat. " What is this feeling, why am I crying?" I turned quickly to see myself once again talking in his carefree tone. "That must be what you're thinking." He let out a small chuckle and kicked out his legs. I quickly remembered what he had said before, and I found that I could speak.
"Why?" I casually sat up and suddenly his expression was dull and empty.
"Well Rio, you know what I've said before, but are you asking me anyways?" I nodded and he stepped up to me and grabbed my face as he sneered. "Because Rio, these events don't simply appear to be acknowledged. Rio, they're created to make you suffer, that's what he wants. It has to happen!!!" He spun in circles laughing once again like a maniac, and I felt a strange similarity to the trainer who always seemed so childlike.
"I am to follow my orders." I responded simply, I knew this conversation was only amusing him, so I tried to keep it dull.
"Yes! That's true! Although there's always more to it, always so so much more." He sat back down once again, and a he relaxed, fiddling with his shirt, tugging at the collar that he wore. Somehow it didn't seem to harm him or me causing curiosity to arise. "You must be awfully curios. You might even have trouble choosing which question to ask first." He now seemed bored, and I almost began to wonder how he could switch his behavior so quickly. "Then I'll ask a question for you, who is 'he'?" He looked at me in a calm exhausted manner. "Well you might never know who he is. The only thing I'm to tell you is about that dream." This perked my interest and I looked up, I wanted to know about that dream. I wanted to know why it hurt so much. I expected a detailed explanation but all I got was a simple sentence. "It's your parents." At that he disappeared and I was left on the floor of my apartment as a small pool of tears collected.
