When my caretaker arrived he stood and waited for me to stand. He didn't know what I endured, but he understood that it would be impossible for me to suddenly walk with ease. Once I stood, he began to slowly walk, and I gradually limped to the car.
Once in the car, I dreamed of going back to bed and resting. It was a silly dream, I could never get breaks. The supervisor looked back at me through the rear view mirror.
"You'll need to change to your school uniform." I nodded in a daze and we continued to the apartment. Once we arrived, my supervisor quickly opened the door and rushed to my room. The supervisor set out my uniform and reached to adjust my collar to a different setting. He carefully scanned his fingerprint and pressed a button. I didn't know if he might've made a small mistake, but I felt a sudden jolt of pain and I jumped. In that instant, I stiffened my structure and flinched.
I was given a strange look, perhaps he didn't know what happened when people touched my collar. Then again, it was a minor thing, the bigger concern was on how to get changed. That problem was quickly resolved. The supervisor began to diligently take off my shirt. A few buttons down my bandages were revealed. My caretaker nodded to himself in understanding. He looked around and let out a long sigh as he saw my back. Then began to put on my school uniform in a much more gradual manner, minding my back. Apparently, my pants didn't need changing as they were the same material as the actual uniform.
Once done, I was given my portion of breakfast to choke down. After that, we continued back to the car. It wasn't very talkative, but that was normal.
Finally, we arrived and my supervisor lent me a hand to get up. However, no matter how hard I tried it was still hard to stand up. I felt so much pain in my back.
Once I stood, I took a deep breath and began the painful travel to my classroom. My back still hurt and it felt like the wounds were cracking every step I made. In that time, I was sure to straighten my back and plan out my steps.
Through each painful step, I endured, and finally, I was at my class. Once I was there, I cautiously sat down, making sure not to let my back touch the chair. While I waited for class to start, I found that my paranoia still hadn't settled, I had simply ignored it. I knew this because I could feel the eyes of the girl with the green hair and several others.
The whole class I was conscious of who was watching me, and it only meant that the pain and stress of these lashes could only increase. The good thing was that after a few school days, everyone had stopped approaching me. Maybe it was involved with the fact that I often ignored those around me, but in the end, I didn't quite care.
I went through my day cautiously, as the eyes of my observers watched my every move, and flinch. I barely made it out of every class, that was until around lunchtime. It seems as though I had forgotten the schedule for today.
It was time for PE, and apparently, I needed a note of excuse in order to avoid class. I didn't have anything like that, so I had to endure once again. At first, I thought that I could simply go straight to PE, but the teacher said otherwise.
"You should wear your PE uniform." He handed it to me in a rush, later returning to his computer. This didn't make much sense to me, but I was trained to listen to orders.
"Sir," I paused, uncertain if I was allowed to speak, after all, he was one of my superiors.
"Yes, what is it?"
"Um, where do I change?" For a moment he looked puzzled, but after a few seconds of silence, he seemed to understand.
"Oh yes, you weren't told where the locker room is." I nodded and he looked around at the people walking down the halls. Conveniently, he spotted Will, who had just gotten into his PE uniform. "Will, could you guide Rio to the locker room? He doesn't know where it is." Will quickly nodded and stepped up to me. I found his pace alarming, and for a moment stepped backward. He grabbed my wrist, and with a smile, he decided:
