Liana's POV

"You look like her you know. You have her smile. What I said earlier, I didn't mean it like that. It came out wrong. I'm sorry." I shook my head.

"No I understand, there isn't much you can say when someone gives bad news. You don't want to say i'm sorry because usually people don't like pity. But you also don't want to say hey it's all ok because it isn't. I get it there isn't much else you could've said." I looked at him. He had tears in his eyes he was staring at me.

"I have a daughter." he started crying and I shifted uncomfortably.

"Yep see this is what i'm talking about no one knows how to comfort someone." he laughed and wiped the tears away to look at me again. He sat back against the tree.

"Why didn't she tell me?" I shrugged.

"She was scared and didn't know how to tell you. My guess at least. She said she got pregnant after a one night stand kind of thing and she was drunk and didn't remember the guy." He nodded.

"Yeah but I loved her I wouldn't of kicked her out or anything I would've been there for her, and you. I would've been able to watch you grow up and be happy." he shook his head. "I took the same risk Hayden did when he dated Natalie." I was confused.

"What risk?" he put his face in his hands.

"My family doesn't like it when we date people not in the group." he looked at me.

"What group?" he sighed looking back towards the way of the house.

"My family are angels. We call ourselves a group. So we don't really have any sort of relationship outside of the group for safety. When I met your mother I risked that supposid safety." I nodded.

"Maybe that's why." he brought his gaze from the house to look at me again. "She didn't tell you she was pregnant because she was trying to protect me, you, and herself from your family. When my grandfather said she was scared she meant for our safety not of you kicking her out or anything." we heard shouting back at the house.

"Oh crap." He stood up, me following.

"Who is it?" he grabbed me by the shoulders.

"Stay here do not under any circumstances go back to the house, got it." his voice was stern and full of seriousness, I nodded before he took off back to the house. I of course was not going to be a sitting duck so I went behind a bush took off my clothes and shifted. I hunkered down in the bushes and slowly started making my way towards the house.

I didn't exactly camouflage so I had to stay low and quiet. When I saw the clearing I was able to make out Nick and Hayden standing next to each other they had their hands up and were shouting at a man who had Remi and Natalie hostage. The man was probably Nick and Hayden's father. Now I knew why he wanted me to stay back because of the group problem. I looked around to see multiple men surrounding my grandfather and tried to find anyway I could help.

I could easily sneak around the car and across the driveway to get to Remi and Natalie but Nick had told me to stay here. I waited for a moment where the man who they called Jim had grabbed Natalie. I snuck behind the car and sprinted across the driveway into the bushes on the side. I let out a low growl so Remi who was only a few feet away could hear. She turned her head and saw me. I motioned for her to scooch over to the bushes so I could cut the rope tying her up with my teeth.

She shifted her way towards me and was soon inches away. I grabbed the rope and sawed at it with my teeth. It wouldn't budge. Remi screamed when Jim brought a knife to the neck of Natalie. I bolted out of the bushes and lunged at the man knocking him and Natalie down. I pinned him down while he cursed in anger.
