Liana's POV

I snarled at him. He was able to get a hand free enough to deliver a blast that sent me flying. I landed a few feet away and scrambled to my feet whining in pain. He sent another blast my way but I dodged it and ran at him again. By then Hayden had gotten to Remi and got her and Natalie back to safety. Nick was standing by Hayden not recognizing me.

Jim sent a few of his men to tie me down but I grabbed anything I could. I grabbed one man's ankle and pulled it out from under him causing him to hit his head and be knocked unconscious. They were all stunned to do anything but when I growled they all backed away slightly. My grandfather pushed through the men and stood by my side.

"Back off before she loses control." I was confused by what he meant by lose control but I growled and eyed Jim.

"That beast attacked me, I will not let it live." I let out a very loud and deep growl slowly stepping forward till I was in jumping distance of him. He held out his hands ready to send something my way. I sat and acted like a dog waiting for a treat. He was stupid enough to play the bait and relaxed his arms letting his guard down.

"If you leave her be she will not harm you. Step away slowly and leave. She is no harm or threat to you or your men if you leave now. Staying here will make her agitated and attack. Don't risk that chance. Do you understand or shall I show you?" Jim shifted uncomfortably and told his men to leave.

"This is my territory I don't care what she is I want her off of my territory and to leave my family alone except the people who shouldn't be here." he glanced over to Natalie, Remi, Hayden, and Nick who were all watching carefully. Nick still seemed not have recognized me just dazed by how big my appearance was.

"You can come back once we leave she is just protecting her friends and family. That's what wolves do they protect their territory or their pack. Meaning her loved ones." Jim just grunted and got back in the car he came in and drove off. I bolted back to the trees, shifted, got dressed and started walking back when I came to the clearing. I limped as I walked.

"Well that was pleasant." Remi ran over to hugged me and i flinched in pain. "Thank you so much." My laugh was suppressed and faint.

"I didn't expect this but your welcome." She let go and it was now her parents turn to hug me. Both hugged me at the same time and it was twice as bone-crushing. My grandfather then came over.

"Your coat is the rarest thing i've ever seen." I stretched my arms and legs.

"Thank you...I think." Nick stormed up to me his face contorted with anger

"I thought I told you to stay in the forest." he had a stern look in his eye and I could see he was mad.

"I thought I should help save my friend and her family, that's what I did. You should be thanking me. I did all the hard work you just stood there watching. Your not the boss of me anyways, just because your my father doesn't mean your my dad." He pulled back at that remark. I knew I had hit a soft spot but I just took off. I walked over to the car grabbed out the book and took off into the woods. I walked deeper into the woods than I had before I kept walking until I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned around but didn't see anybody.
